Re: Rep Retirement Lodge: 17th Edition: Summer Isn't Just A Stripper's Name

Can't be that bad. :)

My .02 worth about weather watches and warnings. Back in the day (if memory serves correct) a tornado watch meant that conditions were favorable for a tornado and a tornado warning meant that a tornado was confirmed and on the ground. If you were in a warning then you'd best take cover immediately. Now days? We have been in a tornado warning since 6:30 and it will expire at 8:30. The sirens have been going off every 10 minutes or so the entire time. Yes the weather was ripe for something nasty and I'm sure there is a good explanation for the new definitions. However, today's warning is like crying wolf. (Steps off soap box)

You can ask Hoven, MNS, bb_dl, soh, scarlet, mookie, and many many more. Avoid me. :)

There has been a tornado in the area. The city or county is playing all the sirens to make people aware. It could be 15 miles away, but they will still blare the sirens just because it is all or none.

Where LWB goes, beer follows.

Since everybody's waiting...

Jr Gophers vanquished although it took OT and we leave Chicago with a medal. Played us much tougher than in pool play.

Lacrosse is over until next spring and we are free of obligations for the rest of the summer!

Sorry for the offseason.

Now, the important question, what are you going to do to expand the newly created bar in your home?

Seriously, congrats on the medal. :)

Nah... offseason is a good thing. I enjoy watching him play sports and all, just get sick of watching the other kids **** up simple ****ing plays. I need a break from the other kids.

:p:D

The bar is completely out of hand again.

Had gotten rid of (drank) a bunch of stuff over the winter and almost had it down to a respectable level, but went to Louisville and Chicago (twice) and came home with lots of souvenirs.

I will try and brew up some storms and send them your way.

I think I speak for Hoven and myself, but gmann, quit hogging the storm and let us have a shot at it! BRING IT!

*Note: I hope the gmann and family are safe tonight and had a blast yesterday. Sorry I didn't get to see you. According to most on this board, it is a blessing.
You hosers can keep all of those storms. I'm going on vacation in 2 weeks, and I really want to get our hay done next week. Got a few more wagons in today, but still about another 500 short of what we need for the year. Just need a few more for that magical Last Bale.

All the rain and light show here. Little sound, though.

Good morning Ralph! ;)

Good morning to the rest of tLodge! ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge: 17th Edition: Summer Isn't Just A Stripper's Name

Good Morning, Lodge!

Saw a good light show out to the west, but that was it.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge: 17th Edition: Summer Isn't Just A Stripper's Name

Back at the office.

One week wasn't enough. I gotta get out of here. That's all there is to it.

Morning Lodge.

Woke up about when Brent posted (11:30 CDT) to torrential rain and nearly continuous lightning (we have no blinds or curtains in our bedroom and big windows - don't ask). Not a lot of thunder noise though. Peed, went back to bed and right back to sleep. Pond was up this morning, otherwise no sign of any severe weather in our neighborhood. Decided to not push it though and took the high road to work instead of the one right by the river as that road drains very poorly in spots.

I woke to the bright lights last night too. I didn't check the time - didn't have my glasses on. I remember wondering where the thunder went. In fact, I don't recall seeing such a large amount of lightning and yet not hearing the thunder follow. It must've been cloud-to-cloud strikes.

That is one heck of a pee. :D
