Good Morning Lodge.

Rained so much last night that the pond (which had been getting a little low) is now half way to the garden. Came up almost 2 feet overnight. Decided to NOT take the parkway along the river coming in this morning - I think that was wise.

At the office. Cab should be here in a half an hour to take me to the airport. Off to Bogota.

How y'all been doing?

I caught the ferry over to Shelbyville. I needed a new heel for my shoe, so, I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on 'em. “Give me five bees for a quarter,” you'd say.

Now where were we? Oh yeah: the important thing was I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn't have white onions because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...

So, apparently St. Clown has been watching Simpsons reruns....

Is Green Lake still green?

The haze from Canada is strong today after the rains moved through.

Yeah it is. Those digital highway signs are warning about the air quality.

And apparently I haven't paid my rent this past month, despite the check being cashed on the first. They better get that straightened out.

Good evening Lodge.

Hot and humid yesterday. Might need to turn on the furnace tonight.

Because of the humidity, I turned on the A/C last night. Turned it off tonight, and dealt with the annoyance of the haze from the Hoser Fires.

It was really hazy here last week and over the weekend. Today? Clear and not a trace of Canadia smoke.

That was what the maps showed. It's the reddest in the metro area, while up north it's all green (for air quality). You could see the haze down here this afternoon/evening.

81 in the house. I turned it on this evening, since it's only supposed to get down to 70, and rain tomorrow. I think that makes 4 days with the AC on this summer.

That's about the same for me, although one time was due to some heat-haters coming over one night.
