Morning (or is it mourning now that I'm older?).

Congrats to Goldy on making it another year.

Happy Birthday goldy_331!!

THe kids in my HS Sunday School class were expounding on how old one of their teachers is. You know, reeeeeeeally old! I say how old is old? 63. I say I am 55, 63 is not old. They say but you aren't old! You don't act old!! and a bunch of other stuff. I laughed as they tried to explain why I wasn't old but secretly it was a little flattering. :)

Yo, Lodge.

Maybe someday the bosses will actually realize I know some computer stuff. The system we run is obviously slower at the off-site, since we do some weird remote thing from the main building. Today, it slowed to a crawl, which has happened in the past, and it's due to some report being run.
Tell your boss they need to add threads. :D ;)

Heh, I'd still get my stuff done. :p
When FTB&G mentioned threads, he was talking about the computer system to make it run faster. ...Perhaps you should tell them to add threading. :p

This forum gets quieter each year, but it really feels like it's much quieter in the last six months.

A lot of the people who caused this place to be so busy some 10 years ago have become busier over the years. And with the various other social media coming into play, legacy forums like this will continue to see their traffic decline. The only reason I'm on tonight is an application install - a lot of hurry up and wait for me tonight.

People getting married from this general fanbase means a LOT less posting for them, too.

Week is halfway done! Yay!

I was thinking the same thing, though I took a several year vacation (during which I got a nursing degree, got married, moved, and changed jobs). Good to see some familiar faces though.

Smaller but kind of cozy. My team's thread people are actually joining in and getting cranky  Who would have thunk it?

Night 4 of waiting here just east of NOLA. Little too rough for us across to Mobile, with no real nice forecasts in sight.

Disclaimer: rough forecasts for us are 3' seas. The joys of having 1.5-1.75" wires holding barges together.
