I'm a little late to the party, but I went to sleep passed out on the HHT. 3-0 win, 4-0 record, 3 shutout wins. Charlie Lindgren, the #1 goalie, has yet to let in a goal this year. :D

I was so confident that RPI would find a way to lose that I watched yesterday's game from the *HT.

Burning the midnight oil here at work. Finally got a break after 2 weeks of difficult patients - just titrating oxygen tonight as I got my other patient transferred to a less intense floor. Of course, I forgot my kindle at home and cracked the screen on my phone on Thursday morning. Can't complain too much though - good weekend at a wedding with the hub (two more college hockey peeps found love at the Frozen Four - DC this time) and we went to brunch and saw The Martian today. And I'm off tomorrow (and donating double reds).

Man you pack a lot into a few days off!

Hope the admission was boring. Bad timing- better to get them at 3 AM.

The evening/night culminated with the neurologist screaming at 0740 - I left. The pt arrived at the hospital at 0030, rec'd tpa later, and now at 7am we're having a neuro emergency and you're going to be rude? F off. The patient has mets all over and they were talking about code rescinding code status anyway.

Ugh. I sometimes joke that in order to be a Neurologist one has to have a personalityectomy. Most of them are idjits. On the other hand most of them have to deal with a lot of awful.

Good morning Lodge. Man, it's freezing here today. Below freezing actually. So not ready for that. Drove in this morning as I am leaving mid-afternoon to head to one of our local offices to set up for an event. In the car in traffic this morning, my cell phone rings. It's an athlete who is doing an event in our Seattle office today. She was supposed to be flying into Seattle, got to the airport, the flight was oversold and they didn't have a record of payment for the flight. Now, this isn't my event but I've worked with her before so she had my cell. I'm nowhere I can pull off, it's Monday morning traffic, lanes are shut because of construction, etc. I offer to give my card to the airline person, she says she will check and call me back but in the meantime I offer to call a few folks to see what I can do. Which isn't easy when you're driving in traffic. Out of the three people I tried, two of which are the ones who actually could do anything, only one answered. Thankfully it got straightened out. But still, I have my own events to deal with, I don't need that drama when I'm not even involved.

Maybe someday the bosses will actually realize I know some computer stuff. The system we run is obviously slower at the off-site, since we do some weird remote thing from the main building. Today, it slowed to a crawl, which has happened in the past, and it's due to some report being run.

I tell the bosses this. "Oh, we don't see anything going on, we're fine here." 30 minutes after I notice the slow-down, the system crashes at off-site, I can't do anything. DHBoss gets on the line with techs, etc, can't find anything. At precisely 5pm, when the will-call/counter people go home, LO AND BEHOLD the off-site system is back up and running like a charm. HMMMMM. "Looks like something WAS running," sayeth DHBoss. YOU DON'T SAY! /NicCageMeme

That made for a fun end-of-day, as I rushed to meet the carrier deadlines. :rolleyes:

Heh, I'd still get my stuff done. :p

Before they banninated the interwebs, way back in the day, I worked in the semi-truck dept, with my own computer to run stuff (only one other area had access to a computer in the warehouse), and I would run my fantasy baseball teams/etc during work. Pop in, make a pickup or a lineup tweak, post something, etc while I was doing other stuff. :D
