It would appear that a dislike of Citrix is common. Happy I'm not the only one.

Checking in before mandatory ed class. 2nd to last one, thank goodness. I work 3 12s for a reason...this whole work 3 nights and then 1 day is for the birds.

On the plus side, got to catch up with a good friend yesterday and cuddle with her son as we both snoozed on the couch (he's 6 months). Visiting my best friend tomorrow and then cooking/baking for the hub's birthday.
I see those pics on FB I want to climb in the picture.

Good Morning, Lodge!

Feeling a lot better today. Still not great, but more energy than the past 2 days. Hopefully I don't have to move around too much at work today.

Didn't post a picture last night due to severe exhaustion, but I made fresh bread yesterday and was even impressed with myself; I think I will try and do 1 loaf per week on my transition day since I can snooze during the rise times.

I'm making mini peanut butter pies with fudge and toffee & peanut butter pieces for his actual birthday on Saturday and they shrimp fajitas with veggies and avocado crema for Sunday with Heaven and Hell cake on Sunday for his birthday celebration (angel and devil's food cake with layers or peanut butter frosting in between and the wholw cake is covered with chocolate ganache).

Good Morning Lodge.

Gettin out of town ahead of Joaquin, eh? Smart man. If you don't, at least make sure you look outside before opening the door.

Well I am in NYC and tomorrow on eastern LI. That isn't better.

Good afternoon Lodge.

Pup got "fixed" this morning.

The vet took X-rays. First X-rays taken since his issue back in June. Hopefully he will have some good news.

X-rays for pup came back with good news. The HOD that was very evident in the initial X-rays back in June are pretty much gone. He/we got lucky and he dodged a bullet. Literally and figuratively.

Those desserts sound fabulous.

For those of you keeping score from home.........Reese's peanut butter cups are where it's at.

Yesterday I booked a trip for March. Our first family vacation that involves air travel. Orlando and then Fort Meyers. Not sure what we will do in Orlando. Mrs. g and I are not super hyped for Disney. Probably hit the usual stuff. Fort Meyers will be to watch a twins game.

Depending when exactly in March, any of the theme parks may be not very fun for anybody (start of spring break season, so crowds go to level 10). I haven't been, but I've heard Discovery Cove is pretty great, and they limit # of people in, so it never gets crowded. May be something for you to check out. Don't hesitate to send questions or anything my way, I'll help however I can.

Got a couple friends flying down tomorrow am until Weds. Should be fun times.

Awesome about the hound!
When you go to Disney just walk in, hand them your credit card, and invite them to take what they feel they deserve. It's quite simple. ;)

Looking to travel 3/21.

Discovery Cove is definitely on the radar as is Universal Studios.

I finally caved and we got another dog today. Humane society claims she's an Australian Shepherd mix. Whatever the other part is was probably big. She's over thirteen pounds at nine weeks.

Morning, Lodge.

Hung out at a buddy's last night, and frankly, I thought bbdl lived in the sticks. Basically had to take a somewhat major road until you couldn't go any further north, then take a couple more roads, and finally, the only way to know where to turn in the driveway, is because there's a 'Murican flag there. Nice little bonfire, tried some different beers.

Double-dipping at Church this weekend, as I have to start using my free food coupons. Twins today, NFL tomorrow.

Worst day of the year, pulling out the dock, lift, and boat today. Brrrrr....

Good thing you have a Jeep. ;)

You forgot waiting in line until your feet fall asleep or in lieu of that spending a few hours figuring out how to work the phone app because there is no way to go there without it. Except.....could little g get a medical pass then no lines no waiting. (we went once with 3 kids who had medical pass because they get heat seizures and it was a breeze, got on everything without waiting)

gloomy day in 978 land. chilly, humid and murky out

No on the medical pass. Disney (and other theme parks) changed their policy. apparently wealthy families would find a "disabled" person and take them on their family vacation. Their only intent was to bring this person so their family didn't have to wait in lines. In some cases people were faking it. They got their doc to get them the paperwork and boom! No lines.

It sucks because it really limits what we can and can't do.

It wasn't THAT bad, paved roads the whole way, it's just a hike from my place. Oak Grove (sorta near Nowthen and St Francis). At one point, I wasn't sure I was going the right way, but I knew I had to keep going north. Figured, as long as the sun was on my left, I was okay. :o
