Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

I just realized that my last day at Menards is going to be Black Friday. I'm glad. It will keep me from thinking "Oh, retail wasn't so bad" years down the road.

Good Morning, MEUSA! :)
Good Night, state of hockey :)

Good Morning to the rest of tLodge! :)

Good Morning, Lodge!

Should be an interesting day at work. I get to go to Site 2 and tell them how to do their jobs in regards to packaging and learning how to count. The manager there is an old guy that dictates and does not listen to anyone. I have gone several rounds with him saying things should be done one way and he goes ahead and does it another. On the plus side, the other reason to go there is to document procedures of their production because old guy's days are numbered.

Good Morning Lodge.

Congrats to lil Gurt! Good luck for the season.

I think Jr is done with hockey until he turns 18 in the summer and starts playing old guy pick-up hockey. He and a buddy may try to help coach mites or squirts too this season.

So I take it Jr. Gold didn't happen? Sorry to hear if that's the case.

Move here and I'm sure your boy would make our team(s). The numbers up there are tough and like I said, I'm sure my boy would be scrambling to make JV in those bigger programs.

Of course you have to become Badger fans if you do...

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

Oh yeah, and I just got a text that he broke one of his nxg's at practice this morning.

It's barely 8am and I'm down $260 on the day...

Oh yeah, and on the money (pit) side, he also informed me that he needs new gloves coz while the (nice... very nice) black ones he got last year are still fine, he "needs" orange and black ones coz they'd look sick.

Finally, the team (players) has decided that they will all wear white cages this season with their black helmets - again, I assume coz it would look sick. Of course, my boy's helmet does not currently have a white cage. Cages are more expensive than many would guess.

Yes, we do in fact have a money tree in the backyard.

Meanwhile, I'm using gloves that I picked up for myself at a garage sale. Old school... biatch!

Awesome to see he wants to give back right away though! That's awesome!

Congrats Gurt! I was quietly following along knowing he was going to make it this whole time, but glad I was right.:p

I have gotten two more e-mails from the JGA coach with contacts for other associations who are looking for JGB or U16 players so he can still play if he wants to. He wanted to play with his school mates, but we'll see what he thinks of this idea. Maybe he can work with some of the other guys who were cut to join a team together. One association (Maple Grove) was willing to take all 12 players cut to join a JGB team.

And Gurt, I think there are closer teams he could make without becoming a BADger fan. If he went to Richfield or St. Louis Park, both adjoining Edina, he could likely make their high school teams or be first line on any Junior Gold team there.
