I'm busy thinking about how warm it will be in Houston and not worrying about those games. While it may only be 44 degrees there now, turkey day is forecasted for a high of 67. Maybe I should pack shorts. I'm not even sure if I'll check the CHN app, it might just ruin my vacation.
That almost threw me for a loop. When you wrote that it is warm in Houston, I first thought that you were referring to the Houston Fieldhouse, where RPI plays, which is quite warm, and I was going to tell you that the games will be in Michigan. I figured it our with a little thought. :)

Decisions, decisions. Do I listen to today's RPI-UConn hockey game or go to the annual condo meeting? :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

I found it helped a lot to see other kids that I knew were good also get cut when I tried out for b-ball. My high school had 90+ girls try out for Freshman basketball. They took 12, I made it to the last 18 before getting cut. Having played rec league with all the girls that were made it to final cut and seeing who got cut vs. who stayed made me feel better. They cut some great players that were short, kept below average players because they were tall, kept a girl that couldn't dribble but flirted with the coach, and the obvious principal's daughter, county school athletic director's daughter. Both of the political choices were good players, but not better than those who got cut.

Hopefully your kid makes the best of the situation he's in.

My problem with my kid's situation is the decision to keep no juniors on JV. They'll keep sophomores who clearly are not as good as the juniors in hopes they'll improve over the season to fill in next year. Some of them are waaayy worse than some of the juniors. When Jr skated tryouts with the JV group he dominated these kids. One of the kids who made JV is a clearly political pick.

My kid is not the best junior cut. I hope Jr makes the JGA team just so he can play with some of those other kids who were cut. They were 3rd in state last year. They're going to have a very nice team for Jr Gold, they would beat many high school teams in the state. Of course, Edina where he used to play has an even better pool of players who didn't make the high school team, their JGA would beat probably 80% of the high school teams in the state.

How do you circumvent the picture posting rules in a regular thread?

By the means of graft, with Priceless.

Quote one of the pony pics and you'll see the code to posting the pics. With that, make sure the pic is hosted on an image hosting/sharing site and not a place like ESPN.

Just kind of got raked over the coals by my boss. In her defense, it was deserved, more or less. Still, feels like crap. Big sigh. Back to work.

And I'm sure Mookie would bring the clubs as well ;)

i've continually said since 1990..... if mookie was smart he would have moved to AZ after finishing high school and worked a year to get residency, then gone to UA or ASU.

dum dum dum

So, the guy upstairs and his dad came to my place to fix my bathroom ceiling. Looks good. They're also going to help me put the big and heavy mirror I got from my parents when they moved. And then the guy says "So, if you're interested in moving, my dad would love to buy this place." Huh.

The pics of snow from Buffalo are freaking me out.

Sell high, buy low.

Let him make you an offer you can't refuse :D

Hope everything turns for the better, Scarlet.

I had one of those days, too. Typical Scarlet Tuesday. Due to a system glitch, my building is not receiving the normal 2-trailers-full (26 pallets each) of paper products. Oh, no, not that. We are receiving 6 trailers full. We have 4 trailers' worth in the building now, and there is NO room for any more. Have no idea what we're going to do tomorrow when the other two show up. Paper products are stacked EVERYWHERE.

On top of that, business was booming. Nice 11-hour day. Usually I have 1, maybe 2 shuttles to the main building (shuttle holds 10 pallets) starting at 5pm. Had 3 today, almost had 4 (had to get a little creative with stacking). I am one sore mofo right now.
