A regular Tech poster posted that Mel could reach 2nd all time in coaching victories at Tech during this season. (which is sad in itself) Some newbie responded with a question of whether he has a chance to reach #1 next year. I hate dealing with idiots.

Ahh sarcasm on the internet.

Crap day at work. Terrible end-time procedures. Barely made our cut-off times for our carriers. I don't know what the heck they were doing at the main building, but volume was similar to yesterday (and the daily spike in volume happened earlier), but we got out an hour later. Blech.

That, and my shuttle driver to the main building is really p*ing me off. Found him yesterday napping the in the break room when there was a truckload of stuff waiting to be shuttled over. Today he was all butthurt because of all the ice melt he had to load. Hey it's your friggin' job. You just have to load it with a pallet jack. I actually have to handstack all those boxes, so STeFFU and get moving.

Morning.

So my trunk was open when I went to the car today. That hasn't happened since twice when I first got it.

I want to believe I just accidentally hit the button on my keys. Because if that's not the case I'm worried my interior will get ruined during winter weather.

Good morning Lodge. Home today, had a dentist appointment this morning. I'm having a..........[TMI]colonoscopy[/TMI] tomorrow morning so I can't eat anything today. I start the prep with that gross liquid at 6pm. My procedure tomorrow is at 10:15. I have to be at the hospital at 9:15. And we're supposed to get snow, annoying morning rush hour snow in that small window I have between my second dose of that gross liquid and the drive to the hospital. Why????? Why does it have to snow tomorrow morning? Why not, at, like, 4pm tomorrow? Or all day Saturday? Why tomorrow morning??

Well, just make sure you don't get the dentist and the other guy confused and you should be good to go.

P.S. You'll be fine.

It's a test. God wants to make sure you've got your sh*t together.

Don't beat me with a shovel for this suggestion, but is it feasible to get to the hospital before you drink that last concoction?

Had my follow up with the Dr, wound is healing fine, just slowly. Gonna be up here until it closes up to point of not being able to pack it with gauze anymore, then meet with him again to be released to work and schedule the big dig for later this year or first part of next year. Not overly excited to spend a month or so up here for that in December/January/etc. I moved to Florida to get away from this nonsense.

My brother had that surgery years ago. Visiting nurse came in daily to pack the gauze. Didn't seem to be as long a time as yours seems to be. You have to go back for an additional surgery? That sucks!!

I am so hungry. I know I have to but I'm not sure how much longer I can last. I sure hope I lose some weight with this!! I think this kind of procedure needs a silver lining. I have my work computer and I've been checking email while I'm catching up with the backlog of shows on my DVR but I may go take a nap instead.

Well, I'm only on day 6 since he sliced the abscess open. It was a 2cm long, and 5 cm deep cut, so it's going to take some time to heal from the inside-out. I'm guessing another 7-10 days, anyways. The Dr. was estimating 2 weeks minimum when he performed the procedure, so it's all good so far.

Yep, I'll have a second, more invasive surgery about a month or so after this heals. That one the Dr. will go in and take out any remaining cysts/sinus tubes/etc that could get infected/embedded and cause trouble down the road. I expect that to be a bigger incision, if nothing else. Won't know specifics until next appt (type of surgery, etc).

The good part of this is that the Dr. I'm seeing, used to be our family doctor, and did general surgery in addition to his practice. Moved out of the area for a few years, but was lured back as a general surgeon primarily now. I'm in very good hands with him, and there is already a good level of trust and familiarity. Plus, I've got my Mom/Sister to taxi me to appt's if need be for the next one, I've driven myself to my 2 most recent appt's.
