Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

Our season began yesterday and we had a "Skaters For Waiters" Fundraising event which turned out to be a huge success. It was actually very cool, and we had a great turnout; the patrons really enjoyed it too. I'm glad to have hockey season back personally! A totally different team from last year, and one that has potential to do things they may not even know they can do.

Tryouts were supposed to start yesterday for Jr but when BSM closed school they had to cancel. I had him go to the rink anyway cause I thought the ice time would still be there and figured some kids might skate but they did return the time to the rink. He'll go at 2 PM today instead.

I think what you are trying to say is that "the Gophers totally kicked the shiat out of the Hawkeyes." ;)

Thanks all of you for your support. I appreciate it! It's been a weird day but I do still have a job to go to tomorrow and at the end of the day, I'm thankful for that. And I suppose you could say I'm at the HHT tonight. Thanks Harvard! Now I'm a little nervous for when we play them in a few weeks.

Started off as a Scarlet Tuesday. Our truck with inventory was late from KC, so the 3 overnighters were JUST starting to put away stuff at the off-site when I showed up at 8:30. The standard power equipment we use? We only have 3 machines there. Meaning, I had to grab one from one of the over-nighters, making hell for them. They weren't happy, but frankly, F 'em. I gotta do my job.

Thankfully, it was a slower day, and got out at a decent time. It was really sketchy there in the morning. I didn't have the best/fastest machine, lots of ugly ice-melt orders, etc.

Finally...my week is half over. Good thing.

What a disaster. After 2012 I realized that Iowa Football, as much as I love it, and as intense as I am, it is still just a game and much more about the day of tailgating and spending time together. Embarrassing loss, though.

Good Morning Lodge.

I really, really would not like to have to negotiate the crap we have all over the parking lots, roads, sidewalks with my ankle the way it was a month ago. It has gotten much stronger lately, especially with small lateral movements (like walking on rutted frozen snow/ice) but it still is painful and scary cause the strength just still isn't there.

A regular Tech poster posted that Mel could reach 2nd all time in coaching victories at Tech during this season. (which is sad in itself) Some newbie responded with a question of whether he has a chance to reach #1 next year. I hate dealing with idiots.

Good Morning, Lodge!

Anticipating getting yelled at by the CEO for taking Friday and Monday off again today. The issues that he is going to yell at me for are issues that I forwarded the emails to my back ups to take care of, which they didn't.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

It's my first day in the office since Friday and I'm just not too keen on being here. It doesn't help that my first meeting of the day is with a project manager who can't find her way out of a paper bag.

So... there's a dead rabbit in my neighbor's backyard - fresh this morning.

As I'm working here in my kitchen, I'm watching as a steady stream of crows drop by for a bite. They're currently working at the stomach area.

Ahhhh... the circle of life.
