Happy thoughts to Scarlet.

Went through a TON of ice-melt today. I probably shipped around 200-250 50-lb boxes of it. The downside? I had to hand stack all of it, as it was getting ordered throughout the day (only a few boxes at a time). It's a good work-out I tell ya. Helps me keep my slim and trim figure. :D

Felt like we got more ice than snow in the Plymouth/Minnetonka area. The intersections were pretty slippery, but overall, not bad.

Power's back on-yay!

Got an email from the head of our department saying there is a mandatory meeting tomorrow at 8:45. I think he's going to tell us he's leaving and they're going to split our department and re-org us somehow. Should be an awesome night's sleep. At least I get to sit on my couch for a few hours tonight and veg out to my TV shows.

Thinking good thoughts for you.

Morning.

One last warm day here in Western PA, then a dive in to reality.

Finally managed to consolidate most of my finances down from 3 banks to 1. Marriage has been good for simplifying some things in my life.

Good morning Lodge.

Good luck Scarlet.

Not sure how much snow we received yesterday. I'm guessing ten inches to a foot. Currently 20 degrees but it feels like 5 degrees.

Thank you to all the vets out there. The office is closed today for Veterans Day so I will spend the day getting stuff done that I should have done the last couple weeks or so.

Off to work then a massage to fix all the crap that work does to my neck.

Thanks to all the Vets and to all those who supported them while they did what they did.

Here at work earlier than usual as I wasn't 100% sure if the T is running on Saturday scehdule or not and wanted to make sure I was here on time. Eating breakfast at my desk as we wait to head down for The Announcement. One of my co-workers has one of the those pyramids, like a magic 8 ball but with more comments. She hit it when she saw the meeting maker and it said "You're on the wrong path." Heh. Sigh.

Up to between 10-12 inches of snow at my house. Wet, heavy **** that was a pain in the arse to plow last night. Got another inch or 2 overnight that I didn't bother to plow before leaving this morning. 30 miles north of me they got 16-18 inches, looks like I just missed the brunt of the storm. Now we go into a semi-deep freeze (well, deep freeze for November), so I hope that this freezes my driveway solid, so I can plow decently without tearing out all of the gravel the rest of the year.

I didn't get my driveway plowed until about 10 pm last night. Mrs g drives a Honda odyssey. F an a that thing is a piece if shiat in wet snow. Had to shovel a path up the driveway for her.

Morning Lodge. After working the past two weekends, I'm going in late today to let the morons get off the roads. Just a couple inches of snow and plenty of ice here. I need some of Brent's ice melt. I looked at it when in Sam's on the weekend but didn't want to deal with the 50# bucket at the time. Think I have a little left in the garage for our sidewalk.

Tried to VPN into work, but it seems my new work computer from last Friday is not yet configured for it. I'll be in the office before our IT guy can fix it.

Good luck to Scarlet!

Re: dusting in New England. Is that something I need to look up on Urban Dictionary? ;)

So, we all still have jobs, but the head of our department announced he was leaving. It was really sad. He is such a good man and he just never seemed to fit in and, well, I'll never understand corporate politics. Meaning, he didn't decide to leave, you know? And now our department has been split up. My team and external relations (PR) report into one group and everyone else reports into HR. I'm assuming a few months down the row a little more will be defined. We all literally just moved the entire department to this new location and now we're split. We're all staying put now. Tuesdays suck. Especially this one.

Think of change as opening up new opportunities and maybe it will suck a little less. :)

Our season began yesterday and we had a "Skaters For Waiters" Fundraising event which turned out to be a huge success. It was actually very cool, and we had a great turnout; the patrons really enjoyed it too. I'm glad to have hockey season back personally! A totally different team from last year, and one that has potential to do things they may not even know they can do.
