Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

Morning Lodge. In the office again. I gotta get a few things done then zip to ready for snowmageddon. I won't get it all done since Jr has agreed to help a lady down the street get her leaves picked up. I need to at least get the shovels down from the garage rafters and start the snowblower. Hope to pick up some of the remaining leaves.

So USCHO doesn't recognize the spelling for:
a. snowblower and
b. USCHO

Back from a quick overnight in Duluth. Went to seem my nephew play at UMD - he's a offensive lineman for the University of Mary. For those who have met my son you'd never believe they are 1st cousins.....my kid is just over six feet and maybe 160 Lbs and his cousin is six months younger, 5 inches taller, and 150 Lbs heavier. I couldn't afford to feed that kid.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

They actually use that word in MN?

We use it to make fun of the weather terrorists. Snownami and snowpocalypse are also used in this manner. Most of us just yawn at the storm, and carry on with our business.

Next time let me know. We rent out my dads place, for the time being anyways subject to change in the next few months. With sufficient notice I should be able to hook you up. I'll give you the college hockey fan discount. Palmetto Dunes.

Heading back down 2nd weekend in dec...

Didn't get as much done as i wanted to. Still have some shingling left, but i ran out of light. Went much slow than iexpected. Good news is, the whole thing is tar papered, so it is safe for the snow. I just hope it all melts so i get another day to finish shingling soon. Also got all of the trim done, and the doors on. So it is completely usable, even if it isn't 100% complete.

I despise the fact that 12" of snow deserves a name.

Fu ck you weather channel.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

I am holed up in my weather bunker and ready for whatever that be-atch {insert storm name here} brings.

Pretty epic Sunday...

Got some stuff done inside in the A.M.

In the afternoon, got the yard raked and mowed and the leaves all taken to the dump-off site as well as all of the yard stuff (chairs, pots, ornaments) put away for the winter. Also tested the snow-blower. Ready for any snow... should we get some.

Fixed the wife's broken brake light. (;)) Actually the brake light.

Went for a 4 mile run at dusk to get my exercise in and not feel guilty about the drinking I wanted to do tonight. Probably the last run on a warm-ish day of the year?

Had dinner and then got pretty buzzed up watching the Packers emasculate the Bears and the Hawks beating the Sharks.

The boy is in the garage with music bumping and shooting pucks on the net/tutor that we have in the third stall. Tryouts fo high school start tomorrow.

All is in order.:)

Now, it's time for some munchies!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

My new snow blower is ready for the apocalypse. The headlights work and all. I'm off tomorrow and Tuesday, so it should just be fun watching the local news go into hysterics.

I just sent a couple emails to my brother and either his wife replied to me or he's started mookie mode and talks about himself in the third person now. I'll have to take note to never speak badly about her in an email to him. Not ever.

Morning Lodge.

Left way early to get in before the roads stopped due to moron overload. Still had a bit of a delay when two cars were pointing the wrong way on the freeway (why don't you turn it around and GTF off the road you moron?). Just got notification (voicemail and email) that Jr's school is closing and going electronic for the day (since all kids have laptops and all teachers have a site designed for info and assignments it makes some sense).

Not sure how the closing impacts hockey tryouts scheduled for 2 PM today.

Someone oncoming tried to hit my car today cause they have no lane control. Idiots.
