Good morning Lodge. Happy birthday to mookie and Mav! Hope you enjoy your days.

Here at the hospital. As per usual, we got nothing weather-wise. Just a lot of rain. And by the time we left for the hospital, the sun was out. And I'm not sure if the weather report scared people to stay home or not, but there was hardly any traffic. So, I'm here way early. Glad to see they have free wireless here. What an unpleasant experience this is. I'm starving, too. Not sure how many of you Lodge peeps have gone thru this. It's just kinda gross.

The day before being the most unpleasant part. Due to the results of my last one, I get to have one every five years instead of ten. Joy.

Sounds like my nights and weekends have returned starting December 1st! Oh how I'm going to miss retail sooooooo much.

I had the same reaction when I finally left retail. Even the restaurant business is more tolerable/less stressful than retail.

Successful beer hunting today (see Drinking Thread for details). Topped off my list of what I wanted to find, although it took hitting up five different stores in the area. Double hockey action tonight since BSU airs their home games (they play MTU, so bonus on that).

Good luck.

My boy is in limbo. He's in the "bubble" according to the head coach.

The kids were made aware of the bubble and of the kids in it, my boy is the top. I don't say this with dad goggles on either. There have been teams that my son has not made and when I looked at the roster, I had no argument - all the rest were better. Not this time. I watched all of these kids last year and mine consistently outplayed them - some by a WIDE margin.

Coach is telling (selling) my kid that he may need him on JV as a sorta captain as that team will need help. Funny they didn't bother to give us (JV) help last season when we were overmatched. He's also saying that he's trying to figure out what to do with the kids that are older than my son, but inferior in ability.

What? This is varsity high school hockey. You suit up the best players.

Either way, my boy will suit up for most varsity games, but it's important for him (and us) to have his hard work and play acknowledged. In addition, the JV coaching is crap (seriously just stand behind the bench and do ZERO teaching) and practicing day in and day out with varsity players as opposed to JV players (some of which are benders) will do wonders on his development.

Anyway, should know more in the next few days.

Yikes. Good luck to the lad.
Sounds like the coach is trying to get on Eaves' staff. ;)

That's a good idea there.... Didn't think of it
Puberty or dementia? You are slipping

Do. not. miss. this. at. all.

HHT

Pedophile State was awful tonight. Team couldn't lose even when they were playing like crap

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

*HT. Ugh. Barring Herb himself walking through the doors, this won't end well.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

Howdy Lodge. HHT for me! The OREO line scored all three goals so I'm celebrating with some Oreos and coffee. Got home about 1:30. had some beef stew. Felt totally fine. Then my eyes started to close. I am wiped. Crawled into bed about 3:30. Woke up with a bit of a headache. I'm attributing this dragginess to the anesthesia. Tried to eat dinner but had no appetite. Put the game on TV in my bedroom and slept some more. Woke up after the 2nd period. Made some coffee and waffles. I think I was craving caffeine and sugar as I feel much better. Of course the win helped. :)

New day today. Gonna couch it, with Gophers football getting whupped by THE Ohio State, and then later on Gopher and Tech hockey games. Plus, it's kind of cold out.
