Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #173: (Insert Title)

Getting a little annoyed at the guy upstairs. He needs to fix my bathroom ceiling. I texted him earlier in the week, gave him my schedule, including how Friday was not the best day. He texts me Wednesday and says how about Friday around 5:30? I told him I was at the hospital for a minor medical procedure and didn't know how I was going to be when I got home and that I would text him. Which I did, because I felt fine. Never heard from him. I may text him to let him know I called someone to fix it and I'll just send him the bill, see what that does.

Good Morning Lodge.

*HTx2. Apparently Gophers stunk it up big time last night but I couldn't watch except on the comp or at the local arena cause I don't get that channel. :( I gave up my tickets to go watch Jr scrimmage and that was not good either. They put him on D which he has never played except in summer hockey. This JV group does not look good at all. Varsity looked much better on the other rink. Jr gets a shot with the Varsity group today, but I expect it's his last shot ever.

Dumb question: don't the owners of the building take care of that stuff? Or is it different in your building?

HHT :D

That being said we will lose tonight. Viking fan mentality here...

*raiseshand*

Too much maintenance and upkeep, IMO.

Cannot disagree. Gas FP would be nice but our house isn't set up to install one.
Bride & I went for a walk after the Gopher game and stopped in to watch the last 5-6 minutes of the Hamline football game. Being able to flip in a FP when we got home would have been nice. Really nice.

Today (in MSP) would be a great day to have a fireplace.

Feet up by the fire wondering what maintenance there is that isn't worth how nice it is in my den right now. We get it swept every other year. That's it besides cleaning out ash every 3 or 4 fires.

Went for a 5 mile run this afternoon before the game, so I believe that I've earned the Bailey's and coffees that I'm having which will soon turn to some sort of red wine in anticipation of the steak dinner that is to come.

Btw, Melvin Gordon is in beast mode against Nebraska.

:)

PS - gas fireplaces are for posers and I'm a little surprised to see a Minnesotan suggest it.

If I was building I'd for sure have at least one wood burning FP.
My house is 100 years old, no way to add a wood burner. We could maybe squeeze a gas one in our living room but not enough room in our family room....where we spend most of our time.

Hoping the badgers kicking the snot out of nebraska is a very deflating loss & not a motivating one....

Goldy could be walking into a hornet's nest next week.

A fireplace was near the top of must haves when we searched for this - our second house. First house did not have one.

Would love to add one to our great room.

Melvin Gordon with a record day.

Bo Pelini might need 24 hour police protection this week.

We have lake property about 45 minutes north of St. Paul. A couple of fireplaces will definitely be in the mix if/when we build.
