Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #172: Did you see your shadow?

The resort we are renting from is a top notch operation. However, both their plow trucks broke down yesterday. Their bombardier also broke down. Believe it or not it is even difficult to get a snowmobile out here let alone loaded with supplies.

We have dialed down the thermostat and we are monitoring everything that requires to be plugged in as we don't want to blow a fuse on the generator. If we need gas we have five vehicles..........

The group made a decision that if things got really bad they would eat me first. :( :D

We are having a blast. If we were cityslickers then it would be a different story. ;)

Edit. There was about fifteen other groups out here. They started evacuating yesterday morning. Most of the other groups were comprised of families or some elderly folks or others who were really nervous about the weather. Our group and one other volunteered to go last knowing full well we would be taking one for "the team".
I would think you guys should be able to raid the other fishing shacks for supplies right??

HHT. We didn't lose to Bye!

After the nice dinner with the 'rents, woman and I decided to just call it a night and watched a movie at home. As in, really just watched a movie at home, you perverts. :p
Night ain't over with yet. ;)

Good day at work, but man I have a nasty run of lousy tippers tonight. one guy stiffed me while the other 2 just gave me a five each for a grand total of 10 bucks. Lady, I did a 2 hour hot stone. Most people would be dropping a 20 for that, if not more. And she's a regular, just a lousy tipper.

Morning Lodge.

HHT, I guess though still hurting from Olympic hockey. Jr's school's boys' team upset the top seed in their section yesterday, one more win gets them to State. The girls' team lost State finals last night though. Too much of a one line team and met a team with more depth.

They went to the movies then out for a pizza, back to her house and watched the Olympics with her family. Don't know if there's a second one in planning yet. He said they have a lot in common regarding movies they like and that her family is really nice. Pretty boring so far.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #172: Did you see your shadow?

So I started this diet on Tuesday, and on Saturday I... had a follow up appointment to see how things were going. The ads say that you'll lose 2-5 lbs/week for the first four weeks. In 4.5 days on the diet I dropped 11.3 lbs. I think they need to recalibrate their scales.

She has been dating a kid Jr has known since kindergarten (same school, same mite team). Not sure what's up with all that. I suspect Jr would say in his best Sheldon Cooper voice "she's a girl whose a friend, not a girlfriend."

What's up with the Mav hockey player?

Things kind of hit a stand still.. We're both super busy with hockey and school, and I'm not sure what to think. I haven't felt anything like i did for my ex yet, so not sure what's in store.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #172: Did you see your shadow?

Howdy Lodge. Long day and I'm finally heading home from NYC. The USOC had an event at 7am today at Grand Central Station to watch the men's hockey game. Jack O'Callahan and Jim Craig were there, as was two other women's hockey players (from '98 and '10), Sasha Cohen and Dick Button.

Also, the three guys who swept the podium were all there and they are too cute for words. Silver medalist Noelle Pikus Pace was there as well. A fun morning. And then we had our Road to Sochi Tour downstairs.

It has been a long and crazy few months but I've been to so many cool places and was so fortunate to meet some amazing athletes. Thankfully it's not over, but now that the games have ended, I'm going to try and take some time for me.

Sounds like you might need to drink more water.

*jealous*
Well, I've been jealous of a lot of the things you've done for the Road to Sochi Tour. But mostly I'm jealous of this. Certainly not jealous of all the work you had to do, or your Dallas ice storm stories.
I am now a fan of slope style. It's fun to watch, and those boys aren't bad to look at.

I'm drinking about 3/4 gallon per day.

The center's people said that I burn around 2300 Calories per day with just normal activities. I'm now eating around 1,100-1,300 calories per day (unsure as I've not been great at measuring my portions), walking more and doing a lot of shoveling on Thursday and Friday. That, and I'm probably not as full of s*** as I was before.
