Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #172: Did you see your shadow?

They went to the movies then out for a pizza, back to her house and watched the Olympics with her family. Don't know if there's a second one in planning yet. He said they have a lot in common regarding movies they like and that her family is really nice. Pretty boring so far.
Pretty boring so far. So that's what the kids are calling it these days. ;)

Good racing there
Lotta crash em ups
Not a NASCAR guy, but I'm glad Jr. won.

I'm gonna have minimal sleep all week I think. Watching film currently, preparing for Wednesday. I'm anxious, excited, and nervous. I've realized I'm more nervous as a coach than I ever was as a player. As a player I can, theoretically, do something about the outcome, or have some control. As a coach, I prepare them and put them in a position to be successful, but I don't have any control over whether or not they play well; I don't get to make plays.

As expected, my often rescheduled trip to NYC has finally been finalized, when I found out this morning that I need to be there "ASAP, this afternoon if possible" We settled on me flying out tomorrow morning. Yay customers!

That's what I thought, and I think he said it was upper. That's messed up.

I just looked back at his posts on the topic and he never mentioned whether upper or lower Red.

I hope he made it off OK, before his housemates had him for dinner.

That's the one! Actually I don't know if he was on upper or lower Red.

To give the non-Minnesotans and idea as to the size of these lakes, both Upper and Lower Red Lakes are about 20 miles wide. The wind can really get howling out there and thus the huge snow drifts.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #172: Did you see your shadow?

This morning has not been a good one. I'm sure it'll be funny to other people, but not so much to be the guy in the middle of it. First, while I was on the bus, I realized that I forgot to put on a work suitable shirt - I only had on my undershirt. I did laundry over the weekend and never moved it to the bedroom, things started going every which way for me and there you have it. Second, it took about 25 minutes to go from Lake St. & I-35W to my downtown bus stop, all of about a two-minute drive normally. Thankfully, as I looked up while riding the bus - love my smart phone - Men's Warehouse has a fat & tall section and a store downtown, so after dropping off my laptop and bag, I made my way over there. Bonus was that they had some shirts on the clearance rack that were half-off, $3 Chinese shirts that normally sell for $90 and I got one for $45.

ETA: Also, I hit patch of black ice while walking from my car to the bus this morning. Oh, and on the way from the bus to the office, I hit a patch of ice that looked like snow. I went down to a knee the first time, caught myself the second time. Still, I banged my right knee pretty hard on that first slip. I felt like a southerner out there today.
