Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

I suppose I could be a good example for everyone.. We're pretty good about keeping kids out with head injuries though.. Our head coach had his pro career end far too earlier due to too many head injuries, so he's very careful with those kinds of things.

It's harder than it sounds to be smart about a concussion injury because it doesn't really seem all that bad, but Moreso like a migraine problem that I'm just trying to deal with. I was advised not to go to class which just sucks because it's crunch time and I need to be in class.

Morning

I see Starbucks has mugs with the city you are in printed on them (skyline and name) I kinda want one, but not just from Pitt. Anyone wanna a trade a Minneapolis or St. Paul? :)

I guess I'd be open to other cities too.
This is going well so far. I've secured Pit, Atl, and the Twin cities. Working on Seattle and London (UK).

Could use oh I dunno DC, Bos, NYC, etc. ;) :D

Alpha Koney Island? It is a nice little spot.

Going to be a bit quite here for thanksgiving. Past 2 thanksgivings I've been at the ex-girlfriend's thanksgiving with all of her family, getting the big old soul food thanksgiving with lots of good eats with a lot of her family there. Wasn't much fun with the other option of thanksgiving at home, especially last year. This year it looks like its just going to be me, Mom and my younger brother, oh, and the ex-girlfriends dog. She's going to Ohio for Thanksgiving and can't really take her Lab with her there, and her father is finishing up some treatment for Prostrate Cancer, and he can't really handle the dog right now she was saying, mostly because he does have a bad habit of bouncing up on people. So I'm being a schmuck and dogsitting her dog for her for the week. Onyx is an awesome Black Lab, so I guess this does fall under visitation rights for him to come here every once and a while right??

Unless you're still getting some action from this "relationship", you're a sucker for taking care of the dog.

Action from the dog or the ex?

I haven't really talked to my ex since we broke up, but he's watched my dog for a weekend. My dog is awesome though, so he may miss her as much or more than he misses me.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

My cubicle is at a crossroads for two main walkways in the cubicle farm here. Sometimes I hear stupid things, mostly it's mundane work stuff, and occasionally it's just too good.

Woman: (In a perky, happy manner) "I got stuff in my thing!"
Guy: (Stares at her for a few seconds.) You've got stuff in your thing?
Woman: Yeah.
Guy: Mail in your mailbox?
Woman: Yeah, let me show you.

I swore that whole conversation was about to go another way entirely.

Was she one whose thing you'd like to stuff?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

Thanks. I ended up inviting myself to Thanksgiving dinner with my uncle the Spartan and his family. It feels very awkward to ask if you can crash someone's dinner party, but I know I'll have a good time and be welcomed, so I'm glad I asked. While I've had several friends invite me to their dinners, I want to be with family because that's what Thanksgiving is to me. I'm lucky to have an awesome family (even if none of them thought to invite me to Thanksgiving dinner) and awesome friends.
I'm glad you found family to be with for dinner. It's definitely better that way. :)

Afternoon, Loj. Good stuff in here today:

Action from the dog or the ex?

I wasn't gonna say it! :D

It's like that morgue scene in Men in Black:
"I really have something I need to show you down here."
"D@mn, girl, slow down!"
:D

Yeah, wT, there's no way they're not happy you called. :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

Two questions regarding this thread.

1. Where is the option for other? Because I would have clicked that and said "your mom".
2. Why did we start a new thread when the other thread is still open?
