Aren't you hunting a "shotgun only" zone? Isn't a handgun illegal in that case?

Only illegal if you get caught, right?

Almost just schmucked a little deer swimming across the river in front of me. He was about 2 minutes too early, if that. Would have been nice to cook up some fresh tenderloin for dinner.

Handguns are allowed in "shotgun only" areas. The name "shotgun only" isn't exactly accurate, it should be called the "no rifle" area.

I'm guessing the reason the Jan vs. CC series thread is titled something about the Big 10 is just Jan being Jan again? With the exception of St. Clown and LWB, such a sad, sad, fanbase.

Since you're guessing...you're wrong, smrt guy.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

Need to hunt Wisconsin, rifles allowed in the whole state. So glad I bought a slug barrel and scope for my shotgun:rolleyes:

No, I don't need to hunt Wisconsin. I am perfectly happy with hunting with my shotgun and I don't need to spend the out-of-state license fees. Its not like we don't get plenty of deer with shotgun. Plus, we don't have CWD.

I was on the bench last season with a raging kidney stone. Missed the first period and then had a lull where the pain dipped to 7 or so out of 10. Ended up in the ER the next day getting IV morphine.

Concussion, shmencussion. :p

Seriously, you should stay off the ice if that's what's suggested. Would think that the team physician could be on the hook here too if he knows and allows you to go on the ice. With all of the new guidelines, liability is a factor even if safety is still ignored.

As a side, I'm not sure there's anything better than IV morphine... :)

About 6 years ago I experienced my first and only kidney stone (knocks on wood). For a few days I knew something was going on but it wasn't a big deal. Around day four things changed as the pain went to an entirely different level. I started puking and decided to check myself into the ER. I was given morphine and it didn't even take the edge off of things. The doc informed my of my situation and he provided me three options. 1) take me out back and shoot me. 2) get some meds and go home and pass the stone. 3) spend the night at the hospital and stay hooked up to the morphine. I chose option 3. (In my best Homer voice) mmm, morphine. :p

Arrgh! Just spent literally 40 minutes stuck at a railroad crossing in Hopkins as the mother****ing train went forward 20 cars, stopped for while, then went backward 20 cars, stopped for a while, went....:mad:

Jr missed his whole skating class as a result. We were about 1/4 mile from the rink when we first hit the train crossing. I thought there was a law that they could not block a crossing in town for more than 15 minutes.:mad::mad::mad:

There is. And it is actually 10 minutes (found in the article below, which is from a couple days ago):

Woohoo! Finally I get to see UMD in person...it's been almost a month. That is far too long.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

Checking in from my 8am flight from Dallas to Boston which is still at the gate. Mechanical issues withe the bathrooms. They don't work on the ground but apparently work in the air so why we haven't taken off yet is beyond me. Was planning to go in to the office straight from the airport but based on when I land, I may go home.

g, if the doc really gave you Option 1), that's awesome.

(I thought for kidney stones now they did some ultrasound blast that pulverized it? I thought you didn't have to pass them any more. Guess not.)
