Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

Good evening Lodge.

Shiatty weather today. About 4" of heavy wet snow and now it's raining. Roads are snow packed and slippery. Winter storm watch for 320ville through Wednesday. Good thing I haven't brought in the rider to get the snowblower put on.

It is Minnesota after all so bring it Mother Nature.

Pretty much a dusting down here, and it's already melting. Very wet snow, though. I haven't been on the roads, but I can imagine some slipperiness tonight, depending on how cold it gets.

So, that's what the weatherologists in cityslickerville are calling it these days. ;)

squirt IS underrated.

Not sure what exactly you are referencing ( it's mookie after all) but if it pertains to the soda then you are correct. The g household rarely ever purchases soda. While grocery shopping Saturday I bought a twelve pack of Squirt. Haven't had it in years. Tasty beverage.

If you were not referencing squirt the soda then..........move along, nothing to see here. :)

And Squirt (the soft drink) is a main ingredient in the Greenie, which is a tasty adult beverage. :D

Just checked the weather for Dallas. Looks crappy. Ice. I cannot deal with driving in ICE!!!

Kid that lived in my dorm invented a drink called "green death." It was powdered Gatorade mix, Wal-Mart brand Mountain Dew, Wal-Mart brand Dr. Pepper, Red Bull, lemon juice, and if the mood called for it a nip of scotch. This stuff had the consistency and color of pond sludge. I took one sip and heard the Popeye theme from on high for the next hour.

I was born into a family that LOVES the Charlie Brown movies. I love it.

There are three things that are sacred viewing for me at Christmas:

1) Charlie Brown's weak-*** Christmas tree (which I display in my cube)
2) Ralphie shooting his eye out
3) Macaulay Culkin lighting Joe Pesci's head on fire

All the noes.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

Picked up a new Nikon SlugHunter BDC Scope at Cabelas. Figured it would be good to go when the roads were slushy, since people wouldn't be out. I was right, it was dead there, and driving in ice/slush/snow is a piece of cake. Used my Cabelas points and got it for free. Good deal.

Also, brought in my spare change jar to cash in. $410 in that thing. That was nice.

The puppy/dog likes the snow, he makes his own snowballs with his mouth, throws them and then chases them.

Good call on the shopping. I try and do the same if I know a storm is coming up.

The spare change jar rules. Funded a few of my past road trips.

Dogs and snow...always fun to watch.

THat drink would give the kidneys a scary work out.

Rudolph tops the list but they had it on before Thanksgiving- a no-no in the les house where Christmas starts AFTER we celebrate Thanksgiving.

Was never a big fan of Rudolph; I like Frosty the Snowman and Year Without A Santa Claus.
