It went well. As I type this, little gII is sitting next to me wearing a Darth Vader helmet and holding a light saber. If I had to bet, my money would be on him leaning towards the dark side. :)

He's singing The Rouser, too? :D

Finally home. We arrived three hours after our scheduled time. I get Sunday after Thanksgiving traffic but some of it was so unnecessary. We stopped twice, once at a Burger King to get food and once to change drivers. Neither were planned, and added time. Then we had to drive my niece home. Such a looooooong day. I wish I didn't have to go to work tomorrow.

For all the complaining I do about my dad, he actually stepped up and bought me a 12-cup food processor.

Everybody should go read Samm Levine's (@SammLevine) twitter feed about "some whacko on his flight". :D

Morning.

Busy holiday weekend for me. Thursday I made turkey and It was fantastic! Friday I lucked into buying an Xbox One. I don't do Black Friday. I was just out and about in the afternoon. Saturday and Sunday were spent moving my gf into her (and eventually my) new apartment.

Now I get to relax at work.

Morning from Charlotte. At my gate, about 75 minutes until departure back to Orlando, then about an hour and a half drive home. Fun weekend, although a seat at the *FT yesterday. Carolina still has a pretty darn good pigskin team.

There was a guy in a fighting whioux hockey sweatshirt, but I couldn't be bothered wasting my breath talking to a fan of a team with no mascot. Had SLU swept this weekend, I may have taken one for the team and ribbed him a bit.

Good morning Lodge.

I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend. I had a good time in East Lansing for turkey day. Then went to a bunch of sporting events, hosted my brother and his friend at my place. Despite the football outcome, it was a great weekend. And honestly, the football went better than expected.

Now back to work, and if that wasn't bad enough I've got a cold. Not sure how much I'll be able to accomplish today. At least there's hockey tonight. wait, what? Crazy B1G conference.

Good Morning, Lodge!

Made it back to Minnesota yesterday afternoon. This cough that I have had for almost a week got to the point that I had to go to Urgent Care. What I thought was they usual upper respiratory infection, turned out to be pneumonia. I should have asked for a copy of the x-rays. They were impressive. Les, you would kill me for waiting this long.

So I am on some beyond industrial strength medicine and I am not allowed to go back to work until I get cleared by a doctor. The earliest I could go back would be Wednesday, if I can get into the doctor's office that morning.

Mainly around here, but we did venture into the outskirts of Adrian. There's one there that has loads of potential.

You can PM me on FB if you want about the location. If I can give any insight, I will.

So you're saying it needs lots of work? ;)

No, I believe the proper term for that is "charming" or "great starter home".

Good Morning Lodge

Maaaaaaaaaaybe. :)

It'll need work, but not as much as some of the other ones we were looking at. We'll see what happens.

Another term might be "foreclosure that hasn't been completely destroyed."

It's in a pretty nice sub, down a one way street. It would be really nice to grow into. But, I'm not getting my hopes up. We have to hear back on our financing first, and then we'd have to have it inspected.

I just finished with a cough that's been with me since the tail end of August. No fun, but mine wasn't pneumonia.

I learned this morning that the Holidazzle parade held annually in downtown Minneapolis will not continue after this year. For some reason it's seen as being "too exclusive" by the Downtown Minneapolis Council. It's a weekly parade that's winter-themed, all lights and snowmen, the only thing that could be seen as even remotely religious is the Santa claus that comes at the end. People suck. Especially the government sort that lost their ways when it comes to dealing with real people.

I had heard that it was ending but had not heard that explanation. Sounds about right for Minneapolis. We wouldn't want to continue a family friendly event that draws people downtown to spend money, would we?

Good luck with the home search.
