Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

Flew the corpie GV's to London, Ont. and back, when I have to fly commercial again it's going to be a major disappointment!

The difference between northeastern MA and northwestern MA is what, 20-30 miles? :p

It's a driver and a nine iron.
Well, for me, it's a driver, 3 wood, 3 wood, drop,5 wood, drop, 5 wood, 5 iron, 7 iron, 7 iron, & a 9 iron. :D

You forgot the flying club and the assorted 4-letter bombs, preferably at very high decibels.

11 day vacation starts.....now.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

Last day on the boat. Got an A-16 boarding number for my Southwest flight tomorrow, aka REALLY FREAKING GOOD. So I'll definitely get an aisle almost wherever I want to sit. Who said flying ON major holidays was stressful? Oh wait, I still have 2 more flights over the weekend, to and from Orlando. I'll shut up now.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

So that's what they're calling it in northeastern Massachusetts these days? :p
Aw, I thought I moved. THe earth did stop because Mr les has T Day off for the first time in 26 yrs.

But I thought that she lived in northeastern Massachusetts. :p
Didn't he just say that? :p

The Sun has set. Happy Hanukkah to all Jewish lodge members!
This.

I guess that geography should be included with math and not allowed here. ;)
Geography is OK. Creative geography is better

If you were in NW Mass, it would be easier to get to RPI. :)

Happy Hanukkah Ralph and any other Jewish Lodge members!

Long day. Settling in the hotel room, getting to bed early as we are getting up ridiculously early tomorrow. It's going to be COLD.

Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

Happy (insert holiday)!

Found out that my bro's inlaws are expecting 31 people for TDay. They have the room, but ugh. Not exactly looking forward to that many people (especially since I barely know some of them).

Good news: 5 day weekend!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

Good evening Lodge.

Just finished setting up our Christmas trees in the house. Yes trees. We have a 10 foot Fraser fir in the great room and Mrs. g thought it would be a good idea to get a tree for the family room. So...we now have a 6 foot Fraser fir in the family room as well. The house has a pleasant scent of pine to it. Decorating will take place within the next few days.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you giving thanks tomorrow. I hope you stay safe and have a great time with family and friends. We will be traveling to Mrs. g family tomorrow. I. Can't. Wait.

Happy Hanukkah to those celebrating as well.

How often does Thanksgiving and Hanukkah occur on the same day?

Just adding a Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Hanukkah.

Will probably spend most of tomorrow in the kitchen, drinking AND cooking.

Good lord, How many turkeys are they cooking to feed that herd?

Making some of the last minute prep stuff for my bird, got a can ready to go for the beer can stand. Then I remembered that the only beer I've got left in the house here is Guinness. Should work. Even went out and got one of those electric charcoal starters tonight as well. Meijers wasn't quite crazy tonight, but I think some of the employees are starting to get that thousand yard stare they'll get this time of the year.

We finally got a second tree this year. Have always had one in the great room which faces the street and is the main room of our ground floor.

Got a second (smaller) one for the den which is at the back of the house, where our fireplace is and where we hang out more.

Putting lights on it now as I keep tabs on the Badger ballers winning their 8th straight to open the season and the Hawks game.

I put a LOT of lights on my tree(s), which takes me literally hours, so am wondering what the heck I've gotten myself into here...
