Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

Well then, just got the call, at 9:30pm, that our office is closed tomorrow due to the storm. Huh. The weather report at 6pm said the snow was due to stop in the morning. A delayed opening I could see. Closed? Not complaining, but wow. Glad I brought my laptop home. I'm flying Thursday morning and needed to bring it with me.

I'm hearing popping under the house. It's 0 and going to about -7 to -10 tonight. This had better not mean what I think it does...

Well that was a cold day. And it wasn't the temp, it was the obnoxious west NoDak wind.

It is crazy up here. We left this morning before the sun came out and for the entire 45 minute drive to the wellhead the sky was glowing orange from all of the flares. There is traffic beyond what you could ever imagine in the middle of nowhere, and the towns are expanding so fast that nice hotels are on rutted dirt roads. This is indeed a boomtown.

Also, I've gone to the bar across the street 2 nights in a row for dinner. There have been exactly 1 female customer the entire time I've been in there, and it was pretty busy both nights.

I had the same noises under my house. If everything made it through the even colder weather a few weeks ago, than I'm in the clear...right? Right?

Sun's out, roads are clear, yet I got a snow day!! My worry is that the company will be leery of calling off work the next time there is a storm and we'll get slammed and have to go to work.

Off to make spaghetti sauce!
