Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

Why?

Apparently, work is requiring me to take the week of the conference tournaments off. I can't say that I object to that event.

The hammer is making an appearance and may (IMO should) fall on a couple of incompetent coworkers. They had numerous opportunities to step up and failed to do so. I think they blatantly ignored the opportunities.

Forgot it was a holiday till I got to the T stop and it was pretty empty. And the subway was running on Saturday schedule. If I had remembered, I could have driven in as meters are free in the city of Boston today. Though I probably would have had to get up to get in around 6am to get one of them.

Good evening Lodge.

I think I might have failed as a father. I asked little g if he would like to go watch a college hockey game in the very near future. I assumed we were on the same page regarding going up to Bemidji to watch BSU. Little g responded with "I can't wait to go to Mariucci!" Where did I go wrong? ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #171: On Turkeys.

At least today we won't get any mail in our box addressed to someone else. We have had a new mail carrier for the past several weeks and apparently being able to read addresses is not a prerequisite for a job as a postal carrier. Our street number is directly above our mailbox in large brass numerals. How hard is it to not put pieces with a different number into our box? Where are the pieces with our address on them being delivered?
We had a new mail person this summer...everybody's mail was offset by one. We got our neighbor's to our right, and our neighbors to the left got ours. Everyone has the numbers on the front of the house...

How could you have let this happen?

Where did he pick that up from?

We get two to three pieces of mail a month that are meant for the house two blocks down. Our numbers aren't close, and we live on different streets.

Howdy Lodge.

I'm in Western NoDak. It is effing crazy out here. I've never seen anything like it.

The concert on Saturday night was incredible. No opening act. Eric Church came out, and told the crowd that he was doing something different tonight, he was going to play the entire show with just him and his guitar on stage, no band or backup singers whatsoever. It was crazy good. Then it was George Strait, and oh my, was that good. I figured I'd enjoy it, but wow, that was a show that I'll never forget. George Strait played for about 2 and a half hours and there was never a letdown.

Now I'm in a brand new hotel, in an oil boomtown, getting ready to watch that new Klondike show, and drink a few Snowdrift Vanilla Porters.

Somehow I got my passport (this weekend) in only 9 days, from application to in my hand. I didn't ask for or pay for expedited service. I expected 4 weeks.

Well crap. My laptop may have died. I am hoping it is just a bad power connection but I have a bad feeling it is worse than that. :(

That sucks, but on the upside, you can get new ones for like $600-700.

I know they are not expensive (this one cost about that 5-6 years ago but the timing is bad. Just paid off my other tv and hockey tourneys are coming up. As for tax refund, before you ask, I get the privilege to just make it to the next bracket this year so I won't get as much back. :(

THINK OF THE TAX CREDITS YOU'LL GET IF YOU ADOPT!! :p
