Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #167: Weather

Good afternoon Lodge. I am strongly considering buying kayaks. My predicament is that I will want to make someone go with me, so I may need 2 kayaks, which means a decent roof rack as well. All that adds up. I could get a tandem kayak, but I don't think that would be as much fun. Same way I feel about getting just 1 kayak. Those would be signifcantly cheaper 1/3 the cost, but boring.
Anyone have a kayak or roof rack they want to donate?

I don't have to worry about paper since all of my job applications are online. If they want to print it on nice paper they can. :p

I added a summary statement and now I am converting some of the task-based information into results or accomplishments.
I borrowed "Knock 'em Dead Resumes" from the library when I did my job search. There was a lot of good advice. One of the better things it told me to do was gather several job descriptions for the kind of position you are looking for, and note what phrases/requirements are common. Make sure to include those somewhere in your resume. Many will have buzz words. Using those buzz words and common requirements can get you through many of the online application filters. I was hearing back on 30% of the resumes I submitted. Which is pretty good for the internet black hole (I think).

You should buy a small portable space heater for wherever you store it.

That way you can have your kayak and heat it too.

Word on the street is that you already have a decent rack.

Well....that was boring. At least when I had my lunch break, it was nice out. The brief shower that hit downtown started a couple minutes after I went back inside. Also, parking wasn't nearly as expensive as I thought it would be, due to "early bird" specials: most are park before 9am, leave after 12pm at the earliest = $6-$8 for the day. I'm actually making money thanks to the government ($10/day per diem and I also get paid 27 cents/mile for commute).

Is that a Federal or a State court?

And the one you end up on is something Twitch Boy would post, has nothing to do with the original video, and you have no idea how you ended up there? If you haven't you're doing YouTube wrong...

I have a summer home in the Youtube hole.

State court.

I did find out from my boss last night that he's not expecting me to work at all after my day is done (even though my work shift is still going), so that's good news A. Good News B is that I get paid a full 8 hours for jury duty if I'm at the court all day (even though it won't ever be a real 8 hours; yesterday was 7 hours "on the clock").

Good Morning Lodge.

Isn't it scary that the gubmint thinks that Hoven is someone's "peer." :p

:D

Oh you should see some of the people that were in that jury pool. I was darn near "respectable" comparatively!
