Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #167: Weather

Had a good night at WPoS's (one of the GPL tailgate organizers) shindig. Beautiful night out, lots of good people, and lots of good brew. Wish I could have had more than a beer or two, but I was driving.

And tomorrow I get to prepare all my dress clothes for jury duty the next couple of weeks. Yay. Fun. I hope they ask me if I have a police officer as a relative, and I get excused. Or something. A) I'd rather not waste my time heading downtown every day, and B) would rather be working. Thankfully, any major trial that I know about won't be happening during these two weeks (one that I think was supposed to start in that time frame was pushed back, due to new evidence: the body was found).

Well, as long as you aren't on the Death Star. Maybe some day you will end up on Endor.

Sadly, I seriously thought about how close you were and whether this would be a viable option before I came to my senses and realized it wouldn't be possible.

Still on the slow cold burn. Grr. Already have the team choc chip cookies in the oven for their bus ride home. I may not get satisfaction from my kid but the rest of the kids think I am OK
I could meet ya halfway somewhere to collect him with Hammer's shovel in hand. ;)

Actually found out here that I'm going to be starting in on the yearly scramble to get hay up pretty soon. Our hay supplier stopped by this morning and told us that he's got hay down saturday morning, and should have 2 wagons ready by monday. Might be bit of a scramble for him this year getting em over to us this year because his elderly father, an old farmer himself, found out he was riddled with cancer this fall and passed on not too much longer after that. always seems like the elder one there was always driving a tractor or hauling a wagon over to us.

Either way, it should be a little easier for us on our end being that right now we're only planning on filling our back aisle way. we've still got a bunch of stuff up in our hay mow left over from last year and from 2 years ago, so we want to use that up Might toss up a load or two up there if we totally run out of room in the back and the wagons are here already, but not really planning on that right now.

To whoever bought me a 7&7 at bar close thanks, but not going to lie really didnt need it though. Met a chick who graduated from Tech, that conversation ended interestingly

This is the semester they look at grades for recruiting. Lots riding on what they see and think he can offer besides the running. Right now he is a liability, not an asset. Spoke to his coach and threw him under the bus. Coach's response-"so do you want me to be a di ckhead?" My response "as big of a di ckhead as you can be." Time to call in the big guns. :D The bumpety bump you just heard was the wheels of the bus driving over lil's scrawny buttocks.
Looking for an Athletic scholarship? Sometimes you have to let them suffer the consequences of their actions but in this case its a lot of money. My kid wants to be a pilot, going to Embry Riddle, Daytona in the fall, its a mere $57,000 a year when you figure in flying. Good thing I had a customer that I could barter with to get him his pivate pilots license here as that saves him lots of flying time down there and possibly graduate in 3 years. Doubt the 3 year thing but one can hope :)

There is always hope.
Crazy how the idiocy of a few months can have such a huge effect at such a young age. Coaches were there yesterday watching. Bag over head comes to mind. Nothing to do about it but sigh over the lost opportunities. The consequences of the actions probably caused the horror show yesterday (all but took out his tonsils the night before) but we knew that when we ripped him the new one. When he is 40 and still paying off school it will be on him.

Hi.

Things need to change. A lot of things, and soon.

And they will, one way or another. Some things I've almost got figured out, others I'm clueless as ever.

Good evening. Manager thinks I'm doing a good job, so there's hope I'll still have a job after this 120 day period is over. If not, I better get over to Michigan Works and update my resume.

Send him to a real flight school, like North Dakota (much cheaper too). :D

He was accepted there also(who isn't? :) ). Much cheaper but once we visited Embry Riddle it was all over. Embry Riddle has a Hockey team also :D. He might end up in Air Traffic Control?

How did he get interested in that? Pretty cool stuff.
