I love me a good thunderstorm, but I have a shindig to go to tonight, and would prefer clear skies. I do hope you are right, and it clears up.

Guess it pays to be a slacker in High School when it comes to parenting :)
My kid is an angel compared to me. I was the last of 4 boys so my parents were burned out by the time I got into high school but he is an only child so lots of attention has been paid. Even with my non stop partying I turned out ok so I wouldn't get too down when things don't go as you think they should. A good foundation will allow him to figure it out after awhile.

13 kids, a few parents thought it would be a good idea for them to leave little brother or sister along with the child that was invited.......all stuck inside because its raining outside..........what the eff were we thinking? I will need something on the rocks when this is over.;)

Most people hang out in the garage. Some are in the house. If there's good weather, some end up on the deck and some down by the fire pit. I tended to wander around.

Wish I could be there. :(

And it's sunny out, and humid. Very humid.

So.. Lady friend is coming with me to my sister's big dance recital tonight.

So after tonight I have to tell her it's done. Tell her i love her and know she says she wants to be together forever and loves me, but that doesn't include right now. I can see it, and I'm done playing games and putting myself through situations that make me hurt. I have to tell her we're both free to do what we want to do and that whatever happens, happens. (Reiterate might be a better word here..) We can reassess where we're at someday and at some point, but it's clear that she no longer wants to be with me right now, and I'm not going to sit around and let it tear me apart.

ETA: I should say, my mom thinks my sister, who has a great relationship with the lady, would really appreciate her being there. Otherwise I don't think I'd want her there.

Plenty of family farms in new england. I mean you guys must have all kinds of contacts through hockey... find somebody who knows somebody who needs a summer's worth of manure movement.

I'll still watch. Rosie got pushed out of position right away. She was bouncing from rail to the outside the whole race. Good of her to at least get 3rd.

It didn't seem funny when my Dad's face was an odd shade of puce and I was under 4ft tall.

This is the semester they look at grades for recruiting. Lots riding on what they see and think he can offer besides the running. Right now he is a liability, not an asset. Spoke to his coach and threw him under the bus. Coach's response-"so do you want me to be a di ckhead?" My response "as big of a di ckhead as you can be." Time to call in the big guns. :D The bumpety bump you just heard was the wheels of the bus driving over lil's scrawny buttocks.

We won our golf tourney, and the prize was a 40$ gift certificate to the bar where the awards were handed out, it wont end well for at least one of us
