Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #166; And Now On To....

Everyone has posts that they find annoying. I believe that a thread already exists to complain about things that annoy you.
Just posted there. My computer updated to ie10. It didn't ask me if I thought it was a good idea. It sucks. I hate it. It sucks and I am not tech savy enough to fix it myself. The internet is my stress relief, it shouldn't be the thing that aggravates me. The support page hung for more than 10 minutes so I guess there are a lot of haters trying to figure out how to rescue themselves. (Whining in the gears thread just wasn't enough!)

Mine upgraded automatically to IE10 several weeks ago. The only change that I noticed is that when I type, typos are noted. I find that a plus.

The appearance of everything changed. Most annoying is this sort of see-through thing at the top where the address bar is and the favorites tab now doesn't exist. I can either have it there or not but there is no way to shrink it and retrieve it in the same place. I need to go completely across the screen and click a button. I do not like change and I really don't like when it changes and doesn't ask me. It also reset default to allow geo-tracking or what ever that is that allows sites to know where you are which I had disabled. Grr!

Morning tLodge. It's been busy. Packing, wedding, mother's day coming up, and the little one is growing up so quickly. I'll post some pics in the show yourselves thread. Anywho, blah Tuesday!

It goes fast. Lil is up to almost 5'9 and still going. They predicted he would be no more than 5'7

Mine kept all of the things that I had before. Did you try right-clicking on the bar area and see if some bars have been disabled? (e.g. Menu Bar) I agree that it should not have been done automatically.

Good Morning Lodge.

IE is the devil. Don't ever use it unless my company makes me use it for some application.

You might want to try Google's Chrome of Mozilla's Firefox, if you're allowed to put it on your computer (don't know if it's company owned or not). Updates to those browsers tend to be more conservative.

Also, MS announced on its site and to the press that it was forcing the ie10 update because of security issues with ie9.

Morning folks. I like Google Chrome. A lot.

Busy day today! Class, straight to work, and straight from work to the rink for hockey practice! Should be a good way to kill time until the always amazing NHL Playoffs start tonight:)

Download another portal that doesn't suck.

Only time I open IE is to access work from home. But two clicks in and I'm transported to my desktop so I never actuall USE it.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #166; And Now On To....

Morning, Lodge-O.

Our new garage has been sitting there 90% finished since December. The only construction remaining was the stucco exterior, and it was too cold to do that. So we've waited now until late April for all the bloody snow and ice to melt, and yesterday the guys were finally able to come and start putting up the lathe / chicken wire. Finally!

I just looked at the weather forecast: It's gonna be 34 and pouring rain for the next five days. I feel a Charlie Brown, yelling-at-the-sky moment coming on. ::EMOTICON DESPAIR FACE::
