Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #166; And Now On To....

Morning, Lodge-O.

I just looked at the weather forecast: It's gonna be 34 and pouring rain for the next five days. I feel a Charlie Brown, yelling-at-the-sky moment coming on. ::EMOTICON DESPAIR FACE::

Bwahahahaha! Check out the Seattle forecast! OK, I never get this chance so I had to take advantage!!

You might want to try Google's Chrome of Mozilla's Firefox, if you're allowed to put it on your computer (don't know if it's company owned or not). Updates to those browsers tend to be more conservative.

Also, MS announced on its site and to the press that it was forcing the ie10 update because of security issues with ie9.
I have a bunch of tabs and favorites on ie. I haven't ever used anything dif so have no idea what would happen if I changed. I don't think I have seen any other browser. I am a bread and butter kind of person. I have my tabs for the track stuff, genealogy stuff and the board. If I changed would I lose all that?

Not necessarily.

Firefox will let you import your tabs/favorites from IE. It's one of the first things it asks you when you open it for the first time.

No. When you set the new one up it will give you an option to import bookmarks or tabs from another program. Try it. Worst case you just go back to the old IE and it costs nothing but about a half hour of your time to try it.

The only thing you might see as an inconvenience is that you'll have to log into sites like Facebook, USCHO, your online email (assuming you have a Gmail or similar), etc. because that information is not transferred. As others have said, your favorites are transferred, but are now called bookmarks instead. And you keep IE on your computer, so if you don't like Firefox, like goldy said, you just lose a little bit of time at the worst.

Evening all. Looking through the wedding album of my buddy's wedding from a few weeks back. Somehow they only managed to get the back of my head a few times. And I caught the **** garter for crying out loud.
