Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #166; And Now On To....

How are you not sinking into your lawn so soon after the snow melt?
I still have some areas that have snow/ice, but the parts that are clear are dry. Its the Anoka county sand, it doesn't retain the moisture.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #166; And Now On To....

Well.. I spent a good 3 and a half hours talking to the lady friend tonight. Man do I feel relieved. Basically, she's scare of "settling down." We are pretty young, but we have a very deep relationship and have spent a significant amount of time with one another. I understand her sentiment, and share it really. She said that she doesn't want to rush back into things for fear of having to go through a week similar to last week. (No contact, me suffering badly, etc.)

We're "friends" for now, but still love each other and still committed to being together. I tucked her in and kissed her goodnight before I left..she wants to resume talking as well.

Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers the past week.

One of the best things you can do is build a life outside your relationship. It enriches your relationship and it makes you a more confident* person. *probably not the right word- If you have parts of your life that are fulfilling outside your 'life together' and your relationship is not the only thing that defines you, the relationship does better in the long run.

Happy Birthday LynahFan!

This is so very, very true.

Definitely. This has made me realize a lot about myself, and what I need to do to improve our relationship even more, etc. It was one of the most difficult weeks I've ever had, but it also was one of the best things to ever happen to me. I'm looking forward to seeing how we can continue to grow together and improve what was already an amazing relationship.

Mornin' lodge. Just nailed a test, hitting the library for a few hours, and may hit the links later today. Another gorgeous day here.

Best relationship advice I hever heard- build a satisfying life and then if someone fits into it that is the relationship for you. If you have a life with a lot of 'holes' and you try to fill them with your relationship it is more likely to fail

I like that. And I think I've done that to a certain extent. But I also think there's room to continue growing our relationship and learning more about ourselves and the lives we want to live.
