Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #162: Love Is In the Air

Just got called for an interview with Wal-Mart tomorrow at 9 PM. It would be third shift, but hey, anything is better than nothing. And if I do get hired by Wal-Mart, it would be a huge start.

i hear they have a perk where you can eat all the oreos you want on that shift!!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #162: Love Is In the Air

I have an MRI scheduled for my shoulder in about two hours. I'm a bit anxious. Will I fit in the machine? Will I need surgery to fix my shoulder? I really don't want surgery.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #162: Love Is In the Air

Good morning, Lodge.

Not a good day.

My dad had a massive stroke on his way to Mayo this afternoon.

Decision has been made to let him go with no intervention. Praying that things go quick.
I'm so sorry, gmann. My condolences to you and yours. :(

If I want Oreos, I will make my own. And they are delicious.

Morning.

Chilling at Starbucks before my interview in an hour.
Good luck on your interview!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #162: Love Is In the Air

good thoughts headed the way of the gmann family today.

Good luck on interviews for those that have them upcoming.

Boyfriend wished for snow and we got it. My power is out, my car is in my neighbors yard (well, the irrigation ditch alongside the road), and I'm at work dealing with an ISO auditor. At least bf was willing to drive me to work.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #162: Love Is In the Air

Greetings from Fenton, Missouri. It's a little snowy here. Only rain at home when I took off. That had to be the first flight I've taken in ages where I had the whole row to myself. Got to sleep a bit. I really should take Southwest more. Their flight attendants are pretty amusing, so much so I wanted to ask who writes their material. As we were taxiing to the gate, which wasn't available because we landed 30 minutes early, the flight attendant said if you were connecting on another Southwest flight, there were monitors and people to help. If you were connecting on another airline, good luck! Ha ha!! That made me chuckle.

Yes, in case you were wondering, two screaming babies. I sat far enough away from both that I barely heard them.

My rental car is a Fiat. It's awful. It's an automatic that wants to be a standard. Having an issue with how the engine is running. Very weird. OK, off to shower and head into the office here.

I think the interviews went well. I used WTs interview line "Is there anything about my resume, experience or answers that makes you think I am not the right person for this job?" :D

Gopher fan using a Weasel fan's ARROGANCE! job interview line. That's like an ARROGANCE! black hole. That's like crossing the streams.

I don't fit very well, shoulders scrape the whole way in and you have to go all the way in for shoulder

I was in the machine for a full hour with my right arm raised up over my head and my left shoulder strapped to my body. And I scraped the way in. It was such an awkward position that my hip started to hurt. I stopped noticing that when my right shoulder started screaming pain at me. Even if I was thin it would have been a tight fit because it was my bones that were pressing up to the sides of that thing. And they said I was like that for double the normal time because my shoulders are so thick. They captured great images, though, I'm told.

When I went in for my shoulder I had to come out early my shoulder hurt so much. as a result the pics lied, they said I had a tear in the front of shoulder where it hooks to arm, once the surgeon went in there, guess what no tear. He did fix some cartilage while in there but it was basically a complete waste

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #162: Love Is In the Air

Afternoon Lodge.

gmann, so sorry about your dad. Hope it goes as smoothly as it can. Do they have a hospice room for him at St. Mary's? I know I worked on one there a number of years ago.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #162: Love Is In the Air

You and your family, especially your dad, are in my prayers. 10 years ago my dad barely made it out of the hospital. He had his pacemaker/defibrillator shut off because he wasn't going to get sent to a nursing home. He died two days later with us kids around him.

I remember going into my Dads office, your dad would always say hi and crack a few jokes. Good times, I miss my Dad(Mom too) when I'm working around the farm or in Orono. My Mom loved Maine hockey.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #162: Love Is In the Air

So, HHT for me. Not sure what to do now. Didn't go tonight, they won. Didn't go to Maine, win and a tie. Didn't go to Providence, they won. Next four games, three are at home, one is an away game at Northeastern, which is, like down the street. Go or stay home???

Bring Dad.
