Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #162: Love Is In the Air

Not a good day.

My dad had a massive stroke on his way to Mayo this afternoon.

Decision has been made to let him go with no intervention. Praying that things go quick.

I don't have the words. I can only give you my condolences. :(

So sorry. :(
Glad you had some good time with him the past few weeks.

Sorry to hear that. Never an easy thing to go through, but I have always taken comfort that my fathers quality of life was very good until the end and he didn't have to slowly waste away in a hospital or nursing home. Perhaps you can get some comfort from that also.

That's my selfish wish. The stroke was bad. If he makes it he will be confined to a nursing home with very little quality of life let alone a battle with cancer.............

Oh, crap.

Sorry, man. :(

That is far far far from selfish.

I know. Had a conversation with him just the other day about this. Never thought that about 48 hours later a doctor would be calling me needing a decision.

Staff here at Rochester have been amazing. St Mary's not Mayo for the record. Need to try and find a semi comfy spot to get some shut eye..........

I'm so sorry. I know this all too well and it's not easy.

Oh gmann, I'm so sorry to hear that. At least you have him close now.

Agree that isn't selfish at all. This has been such a sudden thing. Prayers for you all and those taking care of your father.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #162: Love Is In the Air

Good Morning, folks.

Heading down to Rochester tonight to watch the alma mater take on Rochester Lourdes with a trip to Xcel Energy Center on the line. Should be a great game.
