Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #162: Love Is In the Air

OK, let's see...

COFFEE
I drink it every morning with breakfast. Barely a cup. Not for the caffeine, but I like how it tastes with breakfast. It is a rare occasion I drink it during the day. I prefer Dunkin' Donuts, but will go to Starbucks for a Cafe mocha. That's more like a snack than for the caffeine. When I do not drink coffee, I tend to get headaches, they don't cause them. When I feel a headache coming on, coffee usually helps me feel better.
A medium mocha ("grande") is 260 calories. A black coffee is 5. When I drank coffee, I'd get a mint condition (mint mocha) from Caribou, and it was at 420 calories. Shortly after that I quit coffee entirely, then not long after that all caffeinated beverages.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #162: Love Is In the Air

Doing income tax is so much fun. :D
Mr does the taxes as he has all sorts of stuff from his job to declare. He waits until the last minute- not because we have to pay but because he has a doctroate in procrastination. Lately Lil sees an ad on TV and says "Dad, how are those taxes coming along?" Crackes me up.

Coffee- Decaf, DD Iced coffee regular. Very rare. Huge calories. Caffiene and I are not friends. I am wired enough without it.

Teeth- dentists scare me. I go, I love my dentist but thankfully I rarely have anything that needs dealing with because I get the sweats thinking about it.

Oh and mookie, if I planned to go to the game I would have used my other ticket and got into the club room to meet you for dinner but I have to finish packing and I need to get to sleep early tonight. They'll jsut have to suffer without me. :)

hey, go. i had to make that dentist appt today and worked at home. i'm just finishing up now and probably won't bother to rush in now for the game.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #162: Love Is In the Air

Had a guy come out to give me a quote for replacing my garage door. He came highly recommended from a friend, a local guy that I've been told does really good work for reasonable prices. He quoted me a new door for $680, installed this Thursday, I took that and ran. Seems like a great deal to me. I'll have to paint it next summer when it gets warmer, but that isn't a big deal to me.

When I see "taxes" I instinctively reach for the shovel. :D

I haven't even touched mine yet. It'll take me ~20 minutes to compile my **** here, and another 10 minutes at the office, tops.

I can't imagine why board may have disapproved.
He seemed to have been trying for a while, but was obviously off his meds today. Did Board flush it, or did he start seeing straight? I was gone to a meeting and was looking forward to the entertainment that was bound to bring.

What did we decide about rep from a deleted thread that now has "N/A" for the thread title? It's a flushed thread, but who killed it - Board or the starter?

Guessing board, since he was the last post when it disappeared.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #162: Love Is In the Air

I had someone do my taxes in early February and the IRS still wasn't accepting certain federal returns (including mine). Took a few more days before it could be submitted.

I still can't find 2013 Estimated Tax Vouchers anywhere on their site. Still just 2012 stuff. Q1 is due April 15th.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #162: Love Is In the Air

Just got called for an interview with Wal-Mart tomorrow at 9 PM. It would be third shift, but hey, anything is better than nothing. And if I do get hired by Wal-Mart, it would be a huge start.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #162: Love Is In the Air

Officially, the Federal government wasn't allowing processing of taxes until January 31, effectively delaying/shortening the tax period. Hammer must be pleased. Updates to the tax codes had yet to be finalized, thus the delay. Technically, if you were using a software or web provider, they should have warned/stopped you from trying to submit finalized documents to the Federales before that January 31 date. My software allowed me to fill out the forms, but would not submit them until month-end, after it had applied the updated laws.

Correct. That's what I meant, but did not feel like going into detail.

Re: the coffee question. I have maybe two cups a week, 3-5 on vacation weeks. I love the flavor of good black coffee, but prefer green tea; more than one cup of coffee tends to render me less functional at work.

Good luck, Bob. Seriously, something is something.

Impressive. I'm lucky if I get all my last 1099 form by April 1.

Being young, my only income right now is my salary, and our HR department is good about getting necessary notices and forms out in advance. So my taxes are a cinch and easy to E-File myself, compared to my parents or grandparents, both of whom know and use CPAs.

And here we were supposed to think you had no hope with Hayes coming out of York's doghouse. :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #162: Love Is In the Air

So, HHT for me. Not sure what to do now. Didn't go tonight, they won. Didn't go to Maine, win and a tie. Didn't go to Providence, they won. Next four games, three are at home, one is an away game at Northeastern, which is, like down the street. Go or stay home???

I forgot to wear my Tech jersey to Day 1 of the GLI. They won. Superstition dictated I couldn't wear it to Day 2. They won. Haven't worn it since, and it hasn't done squat for our season. :p

Read into that what you will.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #162: Love Is In the Air

I suppose I should go to sleep early tonight, since I have to be at work by 6 tomorrow morning. Yuck.

Right now in the process of buying and downloading stuff to watch/read on my Kindle for the 40 hours of flights I'll have next week. Started with the first season of Downton Abby and a few books my dad has already bought on my account, so I may as well read them. I also looked into what Delta is showing now and they've added Argo, End of Watch and Taken 2, all of which I need to see still, and haven't had time. Sweet.

I find the fact that you haven't seen Taken 2 kind of funny, since MNS and I saw it on opening night, with TK's as the bookends of the night (while you drafter your fantasy college team at the bar). :)
