goldy, whatever you decide, just try your best to keep it from getting back to T.

Lots of homework today. Such is life, I suppose.

#42 for a lock around NOLA. Gonna be an easy couple of days.

After elementary, I always had 1 male and 1 female gym teacher.

Testing to see if the wireless on this jet is actually working.

ETA: So it is! Greetings from the plane. We are just south of Rochester, NY at the moment. I am so spoiled right about now. Flying into the sunset. Getting dinner served shortly. Gonna catch up on some TV shows afterwards.

Grr. I need 2 families. The one I love but has no adventure and only likes processed trashy same old same old food and then a family that will eat all the yummy stuff I would like to make without them picking thru it like it might explode.

despite whatever you think of any politician, I still feel it is important to watch every Inauguration.

I have always enjoyed Inauguration Day and found it very satisfying and gratifying, regardless if I voted for the President or not.

goldy - I'd want to know.

This. In the last few yrs I have met political refugees that have been in huge danger and lost family members while waiting to get to safety. To see their reaction to the joy of free choice makes me appreciate Inauguration Day no matter who is on the podium. Even if you don't like the person we have a system that has checks and balances (obvious watching the gridlock over the years) and we can't be stuck with someone for more than 8 yrs. When you think of it there are millions who don't have that.

The whole pot-heads on the team issue is kind of moot. Learned the parents involved have all learned about it. Don't know if they've done anything, but the know.

Be interesting to hear what they decide to do.

That is tough tho. We struggled with this when Lil was in 6th grade  and one of his teammates was openily bragging about drinking. With his father. Father was a raging alcoholic. Mother shrugger her shoulders at all Dad's antics, including when he was kicked out of various rinks/escorted out by police. We decided not to say anything because the guy had a rep for being violent and it was likely he was the person his son was drinking with. It was made easier that the school was watching the kid and I was suspicious that Chilrens' Service might be involved.
True story..

Back when I was a lad of 3 or 4, Dad would ask me to get him a beer from the basement. One day I got 2 - one for me and one for him. I'd have a few swallows and then set the beer down and go on to other things. This continued until I was 5 (1960/1). Then @ a party I mixed beer, wine, and milk. Got sick as a dog and did not drink another drop until I was legal @ 18.

I still don't drink a lot. Maybe a beer or two at one sitting and rarely the hard stuff.

i like a handful of their songs... would call myself a fan, just a liker of a few tunes.

I like some of their music, but ask a Rush fan about the band, and it's always "OMG BEST BAND EVER HATERS GONNA HATE OMGWTeFFBBQ!!!!" (Sorry, LWB, I know your hubby and I have had this convo before :) )
