For the most part the antics the inlaws pull are quite humorous. As an example....... fil received an iPad as a birthday gift a few months ago. The g family has two iPads and we have iPhones and the kids talk to grandpa and grandma via facetime. At the time bil did not have any Apple products. As soon as fil recieved the iPad I told Mrs. g that within two weeks her brother would have Apple products because mil/fil would feel bad that they were using facetime with us and not him. Mrs. g said no way. Guess what? Within three weeks bil had an iPhone 5, a 64gb iPad and a Apple laptop. By the way, bil has no job (going on three or four years) and no money. The funny part? When mrs. g asked her parents how bil could afford such things her parents said that he received them from a charity that gives those things away to good people who need a break..........I wonder which charity gave him a offical game jersey of Adrian Peterson a few weeks ago???????
On the flip side, last Christmas the inlaws did not buy our kids any toys for Xmas. Shirts, pajamas and pants. Not that my kids need anymore toys or they are ungrateful but they are kids and were pumped to have Xmas and open toys like every other five and three old. Inlaws did that just to pizz off me and mrs. g. That was low and not very humorous.
See, that wouldn't bother me at all. I'd walk into that house with my arms held wide and proclaim, "Entertain me with your stupid antics!"
It's one thing when people are manipulative and causing issues, like gmann's in-laws, that would drive me insane. But it's another thing entirely when they're just obtuse and just do stupid things; then I'll just sit back and enjoy the show.
