And in ucky news The little kid the UML team adopted last yr died. Very sad. He looked so vibrant when he was at the last thing I was at (not that long ago) that it is unbelievable, devastating and heartbreaking all at once. :(

The minister in a town near where I grew up: Rev. Richard Hoff. He insisted on "Richard" for obvious reasons.

No, he is not a Roman Catholic minister, either.

Mom's got her first scans & labs since she finished radiation tomorrow. I don't think I've been so anxiously nervous since being in the waiting room after her surgery. :/

Goldy, going back to the last thread, the rain y'all got isn't doing us much good, and honestly I doubt it will do much. With all the locks/dams on the upper half of the Mississippi, it tends to retain water quite well, plus the lower half is significantly wider, so it takes more water to raise the levels. Seeing a lot of rocks/sand bars/sunk barges that I haven't seen before, even my captain who was working during the last significantly low water in 87-88 has said he is seeing things he forgot about and are bringing back memories. And it isn't even July yet. Yikes.

I just found out that my cousin and her family, who lives in Colorado Springs, were evacuated. Hoping for the best.
