job interview sometime in the next two weeks... shirt and tie!!!!

It is out in Reston so I'm hoping they'll pay for a cab... going to be a bit expensive. Will have to see if my shirt fits... more girth than I'd like. Do I need a blazer/sport coat for an interview in the summer? I'd rather not shell out for one... but I will if I need to.

Walked home from a bar with a sweet girl... already taken (not married) but it was good to talk to her... she's the one running the party bus to Annapolis for her b-day this sunday.

Good afternoon/evening I'd say.

My .02 worth. Suit and tie.

:loud raspberry:

Well, you know, Act Of God, luck of the Irish, the blind squirrel.....there's so many. :D

And good God, I may not make it out to the Springs this December for the Gophers series. This sh*'s getting worse every day. :(

Well, the guy next to us (Hummer man) is a pretty savy driver who has worked on cars his whole life. The drive is just straight up with slight grooves where the drive has sunken over the yrs. Channels the H2O and it freezes. Regardless. I either am an amazing driver or my car is really great. Either choice is possible. :D
[insert female driver joke here]...so we know it has to be the car. :D

A breeze would be nice. Even a little breeze.....

Agreed. When you have to peel your jeans off inside out after the work day because that's the only way you're getting them off.....no thank you.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #152: Next to get married?

One should have a sports coat (preferably blue). A dark suit for funerals. And a tuxedo.

I've managed to get by with one of each for years. ;)

The tux I can do without. I've had more weddings that didn't go the tux route than ones who have. And I'm not rich, so no fundraiser dinners/etc. I think I'm okay. :)

I concur.

Same here.

Since it's going to be 101 tomorrow (and ~100 when I leave the office tomorrow evening), I'm going with the golf shirt and khakis at the office. I'm going to look like I should be selling copy machines.

Mickey: Sorry Lono.
Lono Veccio: It's not ****in' funny.
Mickey: I know! I'm kidding!
Lono Veccio: I don't wanna hear about any ****in' kinda footwear from you again. Don't even talk about ****in' socks to me.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #152: Next to get married?

Morning.

Working from home today, and then a last day in the office tomorrow.

I own a sport coat, but no suit or tux. I'm business casual all the way! :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #152: Next to get married?

Morning Lodge.

<--Audiovisual aid. Love my Bru. Only thing that can get up my driveway in snow. Even the hummer next door (army grade) can't make it up in a blizzard.

Not last winter, but the one before, the goalie for jr's team lived at the top of the worst driveway in Edina (I know, it's the flatlands, but still...). My wife was the one who always had to go get him 'cause our Outback was the only car that could reliably make it up there. The goalie's mom traded her BMW M5 in for an Outback. In addition to the intelligent all-wheel drive, they have more ground clearance than most SUVs and the boxer engine gives them a very low CG (which is important on their hill due to off-camber turns in the drive). I'm sure the boxer makes them a ***** to work on, but they run forever and don't need major work very often.
