GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!! monday. mmmphf

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #149 - Best adaptation of a movie title-and the lodgie goes

Morning Lodge.

Yep. We had a rising river the past couple days, slowed us down a good bit. Any rain that the Upper Miss or Ohio rivers get, we will see the effects of usually within a week. Although the good news is since there was no snow up north this spring, river levels are still significantly lower than they were this time last year.

Sorry, but full lakes and recharged aquifer>>>>>>slightly higher river levels downstream. :p

Morning.

Hope to hear about my new apt today or tomorrow. Would be nice to start checking some of these things off the to-do list.

Good morning Lodge.

Good Morning.

It kind of sucks to have to wake up at 6:00 and drive to work when the girl can stay in bed and sleep for another 3 hours. :p
Oh well, that's why they pay me the big bucks.

One day at the office, travel all day tomorrow, work at a customer site in Louisiana Wednesday, travel back on Thursday, and back to my desk Friday....

Speaking of travel, I finally broke 10k skymiles after my last trip. I have at least 4 more and more likely 6 more trips to make this year. So I should be above 15k by the end of the year, and finally be upgrade eligible next year sometime.

10k on the year? I'm pretty sure the counter resets at the end of the year, as far as gaining status for upgrades/etc. is concerned. I'm at about 20k for this year, 145k in total, and I still have never gotten upgraded.

My year must not be exactly Jan-Dec then, because it is still counting last years segments/miles towards upgrade status in my statements.

Either way, at least I'll have free flights coming up. :)

Yeah, I'm not sure how that completely works, or if it is the same for everyone/different airlines. Mine did reset on January 1st, and I started over again with my Medallion Qualifying Segments and Medallion Qualifying Miles at 0. Really, the reason I've piled up so many miles this year is my one trans-Atlantic flight, 10k for one round trip flight adds up fast.

Enough with the rain, y'all. Makes the river rise, slowing me down. HP1015 likes his boat to go fast when heading north up the river.

Oh, because the more water increases the current speed of the river??

Yep. We had a rising river the past couple days, slowed us down a good bit.
Think positive: the return trip will be faster! ;)

Howdy Lodge. Beautiful sun shiny day here today. Good for a Monday. The next three days it's supposed to pour. Boo.

Hoping to get a lot of nitpicky things taken care of today that I had to hold off accomplishing last week due to other projects.

Morning all.

It was a very fun, eventful, and unfortunately, an expensive weekend for me. Received a ticket for $303 due to having one foot on the grass and one foot on the sidewalk drinking a beer.

Sounds a little excessive to give someone a ticket for that, I'm not surprised at all that it happened.
