Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #149 - Best adaptation of a movie title-and the lodgie goes
1) It was only a severe thunderstorm warning; Eagan blows its sirens for either a tornado or a severe thunderstorm warning (the city did the same thing Thursday morning).
2) Sirens were meant to be heard by people outdoors - not by those of us who are in a building (so I'm amazed that the sirens going off were sufficient to wake you up - they'd never wake me up, that's for **** sure).
The twin cities have gotten ~4" of rain over the past five days; that pretty much has ended the drought we were in since last August.
Two observations:It was fun waking up at 2am this morning to tornado sirens in the South Metro. Mother Nature is lucky that I was able to go back to sleep.
