There is also the potential for confusion of sending something to the wrong printer, if you uninstall the old one it's a non-issue.

Good afternoon Lodge.

Speaking of technology..........Earlier this week I ordered a laptop, New iPad, iPad 2, air printer, wireless keyboard, router, Bose wireless speakers and misc accessories. Should have everything by Tuesday. I am not very techie. Hopefully I can get everything set up.

Why did you buy 2 different versions of iPad? :confused:

Also, if your router is the Airport Extreme you will have no problem getting everything on the internet. Even Brent could get that to work.

And after further tinkering, I think I need a new router. And someone who knows what they are doing. I can't complain, my current router was bought for me by F5 hostees a few years ago (so they could all use their laptops) and I think its time has come.

I am set. My PC ( 10 years old) died a couple weeks ago. Spent a chunk of change but it was time.

I was overwhelmed in attempting to buy something. Cripes, there are so many options. I know just enough to be dangerous but every resource I utilized to assist in determining what I should buy had differing opinions.

In a couple weeks I will be getting another iPad for little g. We have been working with his therapists on what kind of technology he should get to assist him. Insurance would only cover a device that costs around 15k and that device is something that is designed for individuals who are severely disabled and would be of little use to little g. An ipad is what he needs but insurance doesn't think so. Blue Cross would rather spend big bucks than use common sense. Stupid.

The laptop is mainly for Mrs. g. The New iPad 64gb is for me. I bought the iPad 2 (refurbished 32gb) for the kids and also for little g as the additional iPad I will get in a couple weeks for him will stay at school most of the time.

Edit. I didn't go with Airport Extreme. Thought about getting a Time capsule also. Ended up getting a Linksys. I have been second guessing that decision.

Drove to SJU to get some of the lad's bigger things, should have added the optional rudder for the 'ole Odyssey.

I have one of those router things. Have never used it, wouldn't know how. I never even opened the box.

Well, that set up took longer than it needed. But it's done. Yay! I have a printer. Now I need to get rid of my old one. They told me at Best Buy that they recycle them so I will bring it there tomorrow.

Now what to do for dinner?? I think I'm going to get a pizza.
