Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #149 - Best adaptation of a movie title-and the lodgie goes

Anyone know any cures for really bad flu muscle aches?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #149 - Best adaptation of a movie title-and the lodgie goes

Morning, folks.

Have an appt for Comcast to come out and check on my modem (it was acting ornery last weekend); I have since mostly fixed the prob, however I'm going to try and see if I can get a new modem (this one is a few years old) and also my wireless connection got all messed up so I'm gonna see if the tech can set up wireless for me (I think I'm a cable short to do it myself; and I'm not that knowledgable on the tech side of computer stuff).

So of course, I wake up way too early and now am just killing time.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #149 - Best adaptation of a movie title-and the lodgie goes

So the first day of a long and crazy week that I get to sleep in and I get woken up at 8am by the construction guys banging on the concrete floor in the lobby. I'm happy they're finally redoing the lobby (they did all the hallways and doors over the past few months) but to make that kind of a noise at 8am on a Saturday morning is ridiculous.

Thanks for all the well wishes! I think I did really well. Tcbg treated me to Mexican food AND a 32oz margarita at my favorite Mexican place. Now two weeks off from school during which I'll be applying for jobs and learning all the pharmacology that I didn't learn in the stupid online class I took this semester (what a waste of money!!).

1) Advil

2) Take a huge piece of ginger, peel it and cut it into several thick slices. Cut half a lemon in half. Put everything in a big mug. Fill with boiling water. You could add a big squeeze of honey if you wanted. The key is using a lot of ginger.

Morning all. The girlfriends cousin just hosed me. We're in bowling green here for his graduation and he didn't get enough tickets for everybody, so now I'm stuck in overflow seating on the campus here. Would have been nicer if they had put the overflow in the ice arena, but no, it's across campus and it's just me and a few other stragglers from his family. Would have been nice if he would have stuck the girlfriend with me.

Good Morning Lodge.

Jr had a buddy over last night who slept over. Kid's mom brought him over and she stayed till about 10 chatting with the Mrs. This kid has always been a high-end athlete, in the top 30 in the State in hockey in his year, for sure. Comments from the mom last night have confirmed that they are not only expecting the kid to play pro hockey, they are counting on it. I know the kid is good and has a shot, but so many things could happen - burn-out, injury, leveling off of his play, etc. I feel like getting in touch with Nate Hagemo and asking him to talk to them.

Stupid computer. I follow all the instructions to set up a wireless connection, and it keeps telling me the setup is unsuccessful. No instructions on how to make it successful or why it was unsuccessful. I dunno if it is the computer or the router. Comcast gave me a new modem, which helped solve some issues, but the tech couldn't mess with the router, since it wasn't Comcast's (which is understandable).

Hopefully LWB or my buddy can figure it out later day when they head over for the Derby.

Good Morning, Lodge!

Heading up to St. Cloud for my brother-in-law's birthday lunch. I have already made it clear to Mr. wore Black that I want to be back in the Twin Cities before the derby starts.

They're rattling off names now. At least here in overflow, I can putter around on my phone without getting any dirty looks.

They've switched up speakers reading off names now. That and every time I look up there's another heifer who would be about a 2 on the tech scale.

Oh, and there's the graduate. Strikes a big pose for the camera at the end of the stage.

Oh, caffeine shakes, it's been too long. Guess a Mtn Dew (the superb "throwback" version with real sugar, not corn syrup) + Monster was a little more than needed to be functional this morning.

My Apt is being shown twice today. Ugh. I hate that they show places while people are still living in them. Even as a prospective renter I found it awkward. Especially since I will be home.

Maybe I'll answer the door naked. That'll learn em! :D

Bought a new printer today. Need to set it up. Do I need to uninstall the current printer stuff first?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #149 - Best adaptation of a movie title-and the lodgie goes

I would think so.

I think not. You can have more than one printer, just one is assigned as the default, and that you have to change. I suppose taht if you uninstall the old one first, the new one will automatically become the default.

I agree... but uninstalling wouldn't be a bad idea just to get rid of clutter... unless you've got photos saved to folders created by the printer software... move those first.
