You must be building quite a library of neg rep with your little threads you keep starting based on chain e-mails.

4.

i'm rather surprised that a few of the threads have legs and are still going strong.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 146: Playoff Hockey Activities

Had hail on the drive home.

Tornado warning for the next half hour. Yay.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 146: Playoff Hockey Activities

I am not jealous. I just had an awful day with the front office telling me they can't understand why I run behind (well, you morons- if you book a bunch of screwed up people in a row...) Even the 'easy people' weren't easy today. I need a vacation. I am not keeping up, I need to retire :mad: and all this talk of alcohol and good food is making me ....

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 146: Playoff Hockey Activities

Denver got two clutch goals from a pair of players who've been providing such goals all season. Luke Salazar--who scored both game winners versus Wisconsin last weeeknd--scored with about five minutes to play in the third to knot the score at 2-2.

Two minutes eighteen seconds into OT Jason Zucker scored the game winner. It was his 21st goal of the season. Assists on the play went to Joey Laleggia and Nick Shore. Denver skates against Duluth tomorrow afternoon. Nice job today gentelmen. Good luck tomorrow against the Bulldogs.

That's about the most painful way to end a season there is. Feels like a missed opportunity after being up with 5 minutes left. I'm still in a dark place. I need a hug. I need Abby from NCIS to bring me a plate of cookies and a growler of Bear Tooth Raspberry Wheat.

Congrats on a great win. Holy crap you earned that one. That was an excellent way to kick off the tourney, that's for sure.

I think I can do a little better, Twitch.

Adrian lost in OT on their own ice in the league final, with the AQ on the line, and no at-large bid for the loser. With a 5th year senior defenseman on the ice, having missed the prior year's NC title game run and not being able to be a part of that with his classmates.

*looks around*

****. I'm going to go join Twitch on the 1st tee.

I know many fans regard this as being/having been a "down" year for the WCHA. Denver was sternly tested by both Wisconsin and Michigan Tech in the first two rounds of the playoffs. The way Joel Rumpel played in goal for the Badgers makes me think if Wisconsin can produce goals more consistently the team will do well in the WCHA next year and the Big Ten after that. As far as Tech is concerned, the current squad may not be filled with big name recruits, but give Mel Pearson and his staff a few years to recruit "their kind of players" and agin, it seems to me, Tech will be a str4ong squad in next year's WCHA and the newly formulated WCHA after that. At present perhaps neither Tech nor Wisconsin is a challenger for an NCAA berth, but from what I've seen of each team in the past week there's reason for optimism in the near term future.

Good game today and Denver's offensive talent came to the rescue late in the going.

Tech reminds me A LOT of DU ten years ago. Winning big games with very few, or no, big name players.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 146: Playoff Hockey Activities

I figured Tech was one year away from the big time all season. They were playing worryingly inconsistently in the second half. Anything beyond beating CC was gravy, but we could have done without the boot to the jewels at the end.

They'll definitely contend next year, and hopefully this ending stings a little and makes them hungrier. I'm just worried as heck that something weird might happen to derail the momentum like the last time Tech was looking good. Tech got lucky avoiding injuries this year.

I was exactly where you are now, 4 days ago. With the Badgers horrible OT track recorded over the last 5 or 6 seasons (something like 2-17-24), once Denver tied the game up I was just waiting for them to deliver the kill shot.

I'm convinced that UW made a deal with the Devil himself and traded a decade of OT futility to get past Cornell to advance to the F4 back in 2006.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 146: Playoff Hockey Activities

Good evening Lodge.

All checked in and ready as little g has his procedure tomorrow around 8 AM.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 146: Playoff Hockey Activities

Pardon me. I must have hit myself with a shovel and forgot. What procedure?

IMO, we will have two of the more underrated incoming forwards in Jujhar Kharia and Alex Petan. With Olson and Baker out of the way, those guys should challenge for Top 6 ice.

It's been fun, and realistically about all we could've hoped for in Pearson's first year.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 146: Playoff Hockey Activities

Hi Lodge. I'm exhausted. Had a 2nd interview with the Germans this morning, including a video teleconference with people in Germany. It was mostly them selling the company to me, and not much of them asking questions. I started to get the feeling they had already decided to offer me the position. I was right, had an offer letter before I made it to work (worked a half day today). The letter is lacking in detail, not sure if I should call or e-mail to request more info. I think I'd like the job though.

Then took 2.5 hours to get home tonight (normally takes an hour). Stopped about half way 'cause the weather was awful, and there was a tornado warning with the storm headed where I was headed. Tornado touched down in Dexter and took out some houses. Ended up meeting bf somewhere South of Chelsea. He had gone back to Adrian to get stuff and was taking a different route to avoid the storm. Ended up waiting out the storm with bf. Eventually made it back home and avoided flooded roads. Crazy storms in SE Michigan this evening.

Husky Fans, summer 2007: "Wow! What a great season we've had! Bit of a letdown at the Final Five, but we're returning pretty much everyone for next season including arguably the best defense in the conference and two grade-A goaltenders who can steal games. And we have this guy with a funny last name coming in who scored like over 9000 goals in British Columbia, and he's going to put us over the top on offense. A lot of talent graduated from the WCHA too. Next year is gonna be AWESOME!"

Casey Pierre-Zabotel's SAT Score, Michael-Lee Teslak's Spine, Matt Siddall, The Rest of the WCHA, Reality: "LOL."

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 146: Playoff Hockey Activities

WT - congrats? Or rather congrats!

And since we're talking congrats, congrats to Tech. Watched the first period. Thye looked good. Had to leave and head out ti meet my friends for a drink...or tewo. :) missed the restm !ummer.

Heading home. Hottie bartendr's birthday is Tuesday so I made cupcakes for him. Half the bar was saved for these guys from Fidelity who wanetd dinner and watch basketball. Hottiebartender saved our sests cuz he knew we would be there early. These guys took up half the bar and hardly watched the game. I had half a minf to ask to put the hockey game on. I hate that. If ou're there to watch the game, watch the game DAMMIT! When or why didwe stop the DAMMIT?!

Whay are we waiting fro a schedule adjustment? Stupd T. I want to get home.

Pardon me. I must have hit myself with a shovel and forgot. What procedure?

Little g is and has been experiencing quite a bit of tightness in his legs. It's due to his CP. He has been struggling lately with balance and walking and such.

Tomorrow he will be getting 20 Botox injections in his legs ( 5 in each calf and 5 in each hamstring).

The procedure is fairly routine (he will be put under) but most importantly it should help him. Time will tell.

Seeing your work and your boss's work (as well as the rest of my boss's staff aside from me) referenced in an e-mail on the local professional listserv in reference to a meeting with congress is a little intriguing.

edit: nothing bad in this case... but its certainly a new thing to me :p
