NYS legislature arguing about casinos here, and whether or not to continue to let the Iriquois enjoy a monopoly.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 146: Playoff Hockey Activities

The pond behind our house is thawing. I thought the level had dropped even more 'cause it looked like the bottom was showing, turns out it was a giant chunk of frozen mud floating on top. A big dirtcicle. Along with a lot of dead carp that too dam stupid to go find the deep water. Smells real nice, kinda kills the attraction of waterfront land.

Wish the rock-doc was still here. I think what happened was the ice froze all the way to the bottom, and past the bottom freezing a lot of muck. We got some rain a while back and for a day there was about a foot of water on top of the ice. I waded our onto it to retrieve the nets and a light pole. The next day the ice had popped up through the water. I think it dragged a lot of mud up with it and that is what is showing now.
