Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 146: Playoff Hockey Activities

For the first time since Lil was born (almost 16 yrs ago) my team has a chance to go to the dance. They have a thing tomorrow to watch the selsction and Lil is acting as Worship Asst at church for the first time (Youth Service) at the exact same time. I have to work and can't get out this week. If we played in the East I might have been able to see at least part of a game. Now it looks like they are going out west because every star is lining up soooo nicely :( I guess I should be happy from afar but I am sulking.

Oh and to get the chance at an Eastcoast bid I had to root for BU & BC in the same night. No one should have to do that, it felt dirty. Couldn't manage rooting for BC, but my playoff record it 100% loss so far for the teams I am rooting for. :(

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!! saturday is silly

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 146: Playoff Hockey Activities

Good morning Lodge! It's going to be a hockey free day for me today. Heading up to New Hampshire this morning to root on my niece in her dance competition. Maybe I'll go to dinner with my folks. I have a **** ton of TV to catch up on so that's what I'm going to do tonight. Good luck to all the teams still playing. I'm not planning to root for anyone in particular. BU goes where BU goes. They were in control of their own destiny last night and they lost, so they cannot complain about where they go now. I'll deal with it tomorrow while watching the selection show.

Someone please check on Brent and let us all know he lived through the night. I was going to go nuts at the *hockey table and then followed that score and thought...yeah, this probably isn't as bad. :o

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 146: Playoff Hockey Activities

Top O'the mornin to ya Lodge.

Spent the night at the * hockey bar and grill. Torn on whether I try to watch the Gopher Women in the finals vs the Stinkin' BADgers on the interweb or go watch jr's buddy in the State bantam tourney.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 146: Playoff Hockey Activities

Good night... or as good as it can get without taking a girl's number. Gave a boost to a buddy though... he's about as shy as I am except he looks like Patrick Warburton

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 146: Playoff Hockey Activities

* hockey and everything to do with it.

Ok, so I was planning on hitting both games yesterday. Ran into someone that needed at ticket for the afternoon game. Meh, I don't really need to see that game, so I sell my ticket to tUMD fan. Anyway, I probably should have gone, because that probably would have changed my day's course dramatically. The night game comes around, I get to the gate. Oops, wrong ticket. I am not happy.

I start to head back to the tailgate lot to get the right ticket, when I trip on the curb and faceplant on the sidewalk. And I mean, my face nailed the ground in not-pretty fashion. I remember saying "I'm okay, I'm okay." Yeah, I kinda wasn't. Know why? Next time I open my eyes, I'm laying on a bench that is attached to a truck in the tailgate lot, it's 8pm, and there's a couple Techies talking to each other. I'm kind of confused. I now have a band-aid on my hand and the cut right by my left eye is cleaned up.

I get the peanut gallery remarks like "He's alive!" and "He's upright!" I guess a full day in the sun (I really didn't have that much to drink, but I didn't eat that much food either) takes a toll (yes, my neck is sunburned). I start getting score updates, and they wait for me to melt down. I don't; I just shake my head and say it's probably a good thing I'm not at the game. We decide to head to Reid's.

And then afterwards, we headed back to LWB's for more Tucker Max Storytime, which was yet again very entertaining. :)

Edit: yes, my face and my hand still kinda hurt.

I actually never planned on going to tonight's game, as St Paul is the 2nd biggest warzone, I mean celebration, for St Pat's Day (Boston obviously is #1). The usuals and I are going to a local band's show at Toby Keith's tonight.

And upper body injury is correct. Chin hurts, and the left side of my face is rather sore. My left hand knuckles are kind of swollen too, due to the cut that is there.

So you're saying that in general you now bear a striking resemblance to Ogie Oglethorpe from Slap Shot. That look drives the babes wild. And just in time for Saturday night's all night drunk. Way to go.:D
