Good Morning Lodge. Too bad we aren't any closer to the end; I have a good idea for a Christmas pole (or would it be Festivus in this case?)

Nothing like waking up to more work this morning... and of course they haven't figured out what I need to do yet. Flight is at 4:30... we'll see how much longer I try to sleep... need to put the suitcase together... zzz... zzz... zzz...

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 141: We Didn't Start The (* Hockey Table On) Fire

I was at the office 2 hours more than anticipated. Not overly pleased, but not a big deal, and something I could deal with. I was also just told that I have about 2 more hours tonight for myself to work with until I should head over to the parents' place. I don't necessarily need the time, as I have 6 more gifts to wrap, but I can use it to clean up the Hammer Palatial Estates, since it looks like a trash bomb went off in the house. If someone knocked on the door, I would seriously consider not answering.

That's no good.

Evening, Lodge. I'm going to my folks' place tonight too, and taking my as-yet-unwrapped presents with me - maybe I can get some headway on them tonight since I work tomorrow. Somewhere in there, I need to figure out a time to ship an old laptop to the gf's folks (she forgot it when she went to the airport this afternoon) and buy the last few presents for my sister, BIL and dad.

Spent 11-2 at RJs in Hastings with about 30 coworkers and retirees. Best lunch ever.

Hey guys. Hope everyone traveling does so safely these next few days..perfect weather for travel i guess?:p

So I got my dad a framed picture of Kinnick Stadium, and I know he's immediately going to know what it is if i put it under the tree. I was trying to think of ideas to put something under the tree that when he opens, will lead him to my room, or wherever the poster is, to see his gift. Any ideas? I was thinking of printing off a break the rock sign, which is what the hawks hit before they go on the field. Then underneath it, it could say something like find your way to (designated room.) Then on the back, write, "Here Come the Hawkeyes!"

Maybe i'm over thinking this and that idea sucks.

Suggestions?

Good thing- I am home and all my charts are done.

Bad thing- Office manager failed to communicate that I am expected to be in early next week and work later than my usual hours. I am also expected to work on Wed, my Day off. Mr is traveling Thu thru Sat. We could have actually seen each other to do something on Wednesday AM. Instead I will be working and he will be working when I get home. It is rare we get time together and this is one of those times  This after he had some stupid NCAA meeting last week when we should have been able to see each other.

Good thing- at least I am off for the next 3 days!

Same to you, gmann!

Don't have to worry about gifts this year; all I have to worry about is the roast beast. 2.5 lb chuck roast ought to be enough for my dad and I...

Getting up at 630a tomorrow to meet friends at 730a to go to patsies game (which is at 1p). The interesting thing is if they were playing in Miami and I was going there for the game I would get up around the same time :p
