So a
former-friend has posted on FB that they quit the hockey association today. They're upset that their kid got placed on a C team. He has always been a B player, not a high end B either. The kid is a very good (but not great) skater, solid defensive defensman, but tiny. I'm sorry, but it's bantams now - some of these kids are HUGE, there is no way their kid can move anybody out of the slot now. They complain about politics, but frankly, there aren't much politics at the low end of the spectrum, it's how you do on the ice, the coaches want to win at B level. I have no sympathy for them. My kid always looks bad in tryouts and then winds up being one of the top scorers on whatever team he lands on.
Get T F over yourselves, he's not that good.
ETA: I e-mailed him to ask about it and he blasted me, accusing my of helping conspire to put together a "dream team" and leaving the rest of the "left overs" to fend for themselves. I sent a reply where I did not edit my languge. It would have a had a number of *s here on USCHO.
