Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 138: HOCKEY HOCKEY HOCKEY HOCKEY!

You aren't being a very good Lodge friend right now!
I don't recall ever claiming to be a good Lodge friend.
Though, I suppose since hp1015 asked nicely, I'll refrain from yelling "take off your skate and stab him". I have no reason to wish harm on anyone from SLU (that I'm aware of).

'Evening, Lodge. Today was my Friday, as I am not on the schedule for the rest of this week (though I have errands and events to attend to the rest of the weekend, I can get to those whenever the * I want.)
In celebration of a weekend "off" in which I'm not travelling out of state: Brinner. Cinnamon swirl bread french toast and thick cut hickory smoked bacon. :D

Heh, well I guess I'll accept that offer. I'm really hoping they bring their best game to Yost tonight because when SLU plays well they are an exciting, fast team to watch, and I would think it would make for a pretty good game. However last weekend has me in * hockey mode until proven otherwise, hence my 6-1 drubbing prediction.

Wish I wasn't working as I would totally be driving the 8 hours there to see the game. I WILL be seeing a game at Yost someday.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 138: HOCKEY HOCKEY HOCKEY HOCKEY!

feeling better than yesterday and from where I started this morning... still some lingering feelings... starting to get some plans for the weekend... also starting to arrange a workout at the gym... little things.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 138: HOCKEY HOCKEY HOCKEY HOCKEY!

Not even going to bother holding out hope. * hockey table. 7-2, not even to the end of the 2nd.

But hey, we're the first team to put up 2 against the Maize and Blue! Moral victories. On to RIT Saturday night to play in front of a sell-out at Blue Cross Arena (11k or so).

Finally home. For one night. After work tomorrow I'm going to head to the farm and run the combine for Friday night and Saturday morning. Saturday night I'll be heading back up to the cities for the first Wild game of my season ticket package.

Well, I'm glad we got to christen the double digit numbers for Michigan goals on the new scoreboard.

10-3. * hockey table[SUP]10[/SUP]. Yikes. Not a good start to the season, 6 GF, 19 GA.

Good to hear!

Les, have you heard of a new degree they've come up with called a DCLS (doctorate in clinical science)?

Hey, St. Lawrence was winning that game for awhile, 1-0. And their first goal was beautiful: nice pass, wide open guy, wide open net. After that, the whole game was kind of a blur to me...so I can't report on how they played.

The drunk cowbell player next to me was very proud of his new spelling cheer: "B-o-n-d-a-g-e. what's that mean? We're in charge"

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 138: HOCKEY HOCKEY HOCKEY HOCKEY!

Hm, Mike McKenna (SLU grad, now goalie for Bingo in the AHL, tweeted yesterday that a guys cup exploded due to a wrist shot in practice. That sounds like a grand idea, and I hope it works out just as well for you! Haha.

Heh, thanks. Even though I have a decently heavy wrist shot, I don't think mine's hard enough to inflict that sort of damage. I'd expect some cup-shaped bruising at most, which has happened to a friend of mine once. He didn't wear jeans for a week.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 138: HOCKEY HOCKEY HOCKEY HOCKEY!

I appreciated the free lunch at work today. Lots of food and even pumpkin pie. But... if they are going to call it "Octoberfest" I really think there should have been beer.
No Beer, Not Octoberfest!!!

So, writing the schedule for this place is nothing short of a PITA.
'Diva: (to coworkers) Hey, guys--a lot of you have requested Thanksgiving weekend off, and since we're a retail establishment and all, you all can't get the time off. So, please tweak plans accordingly.
Coworkers: (all simultaneously request the weekend off.)
'Diva: *headdesk**headdesk*
Not looking forward to playing bad cop here, but I'm going to have to. I'm not working at this damm store by myself that weekend. If I'm stuck in town away from family, then someone other than Flashy is sticking around here with me.

Seniority based.

Longer you have worked there, the better chance you have to get T-Day off. That's what our work does. Also, then you cannot be accused of playing favorites.

What Brent said or do it by who asks for the least amount of time off. You don't ask for a whole lot of time off otherwise? Here you go, you get it when you really want it.
That, and I would factor in who call in "Sick" whenever the weather like like really nice as well. Throw your weight around about how they Have to be there.

Chuckles at mentally replaying you saying that. :)

They just took out our corn field this morning. came home from work last night to see they had made a few passes, just enough so that they could park their combine, tractor and semi in the field without totally blocking our driveway. The co-op who leases our field loves to leave their equipment in our field because our driveway goes right along the field and its such an easy in and out for them. Walked part of the field this afternoon and picked up a few ears that they missed. figured my boss at BMT might like a few of them for decorating, and maybe will use a few of them for feeding squirrels and birds as well there in the little park that's next to BMT.

Oh you know that's so going to get stolen!!! :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 138: HOCKEY HOCKEY HOCKEY HOCKEY!

Morning. Still at the * hockey table for breakfast. Wish I could throw a few screwdrivers or other acceptable breakfast alcoholic drink in there too, but alas, I am working for another 6 days hopefully.

Still no luggage in my hands, hoping to push the buttons and pull the strings to get it here today.
