Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Evening, Lodge. Today we started sauteeing in skills 1, and unlike last quarter, I didn't burn anything, so I'm making progress!

As I understand it, as long as the offer was made before the freeze, it stays open.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

For all those around the Twin Cities I think I'm having a bonfire Friday night. It has been cold enough to kill off most of the mosquitos and this weekend is supposed to be gorgeous. I have 3 friends coming down from Duluth/UP for the weekend, so they'll be here. Anyone else is welcome, as long as I don't hate you, which is no one that posts in the lodge. :p BYOB, but I do have some good liquor we can tap into after a while.

This is normally the case, apparently CAT has gotten a bad reputation for pulling offers when they decide they're financials aren't as nice as they originally thought. Heard about it at the career fair last week...from people that work for CAT.

shouldn't we drink the good stuff while our palates are fresh and we can enjoy it? then bang back the swill and get hog wild! :D
That works too. So, bring ****ty beer to drink after we don't need to keep drinking my bourbon. :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

When I fly, I almost always have to check a bag because I usually have to stay several days, and my carry on bag is really freaking small, that I can't fit more than a day or 2 worth of clothes in it. Tomorrow I have to fly to Nashville for a day, and it'll be short enough that I'm hoping to just use my carry on. So, question: is a stick of gel deodorant considered a "liquid" as far TSA is concerned? Or can I carry on a normal sized stick of gel deodorant, as long as its in my 1 quart ziplock?

I had no problem when I went to Florida, about a year and a half ago.

Yes, it is considered a liquid...

I've always assumed it was subject to the size restriction just like shampoo and toothpaste containers are.

I'm there. Start time? I'll invoke "leave on time" if necessary. And right now, it's necessary.

From the Cool Story, Bro department:

Sunday night at the Red Wings game, there was a guy one row behind us that looked exactly like you, wearing a flat cap.

Me? That's scary. I'm already a bass player in New Orleans....

Apparently you were a Wings fan wearing an Yzerman jersey in section 206 last night, too. Drinking a $9 Molson.

There is nothing correct about that statement, other than paying respect to Yzerman. ;)
