Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

NFL SUNDAY! Oh, how I missed thee. Hardly watched football last Sunday, because some morons decided to get married. ;)

Hoping my Bills can keep it going. Monster Khaos being consumed here, heading to Old Chicago later for some pizza and wings, and an Oktoberfest brew or two.
have you tried monster rehab? It is monsters take on the classic arnold palmer. I know you drink that arnold palmer stuff when you are just sitting around home not drinking alcohol, so you'd probably like this stuff. I thought it tasted pretty good.

I prefer the John Daly. Drink half an Arnold Palmer and top her off with vodka.

What time are you heading over? I might appear on that side of the metro area.

I'm always at the door at 11am, so I can get MY table. ;)

bbdl: I haven't, but will look into it. Had to settle for the blue in Denver (the one you drink) because the only other choices were green and purple (dunno what the hell the purple was). The blue wasn't bad, even at room temp.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

I'm taking a seat at the happy hockey table not because we won an exhibition game against an inferior Canadian team, but because I got to see my team in action for the first time since late March!

I believe the purple monster is the Monster Mixxed, which is suppose to be Monster and juice I believe.. the blue tabbed ones are their low calorie formulas.

Productive day here, got my new blinds hung in my room.

I knew about the blue. The orange is also mixed with juice, hence why I drink it.

Yeah, will have to look it up the next time I get some. the Monster Absolute Zero has been my Monster of choice lately.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

The Rehab Monster, which are black and yellow, the top of the can is actually black, are also low calorie/low carb. I think that one has 20 calories per can, same as the blue Lo-Carb stuff. The Absolute Zero stuff is crazy, 0 calories, 0 carbs per can. That stuff is pure cocaine.

Had a fun day today. Went to a friend's house for his wife's birthday. We were all just planning on hanging out at their place, BSing, drinking and grilling. After several hours of hanging out at their place my buddy surprised everyone with a plan to go to a wine tasting at a local vinyard, something his wife absolutely loves, and then he also had reservations at a really nice restaurant in Stillwater. It turned out really great, and I actually had a great time at the wine tasting thing. They had some raspberry/grape desert port that was incredible, best wine I've ever tried, by far. So I bought a couple bottles of that and one of a really good white wine they had. I figured that even though I don't drink wine it would be a good idea to have some around that I know I liked if an occasion comes up where I need to have wine to serve. Got to the restaurant and they had a bunch of high end Belgian style beers, we all tried different kinds, so we got to try each kind. They were all pretty good. I got a 3 Philosophers which I had only had a sip of before then. It was just as good as I remembered.

What's up. Back from NYC and the ALDS. Exciting but disappointing game today, and then one of the quickest drives I've ever made back from NYC. I think I remember finally breaking away from traffic around 7:45, and I pulled into my driveway at 1:20. A sub 6 hour drive back from NYC, yikes that's fast. Never really blew the speed limit out of the water either as far as I can remember.

Setting up my ps3 in the AM, I am now essentially one large screen TV away from having my future man cavethedral pretty much purchased other than whatever I'll get to sit in and tables and whatnot. But I have the ps3, 360, surround sound, etc.

To add to the monster discussion. Rehab is indeed delicious, I really enjoy that one. Also a HUGE fan of monster import (the turn top that can re-close if needed). Haven't tried the khaos or mixxed or the lo-carb ones though.

Don't you need like a place to house this man cave? Are you gonna put it on the boat?
