Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

This is true, hence my asking.

So, you thinking about making the trek to the Springs March 3? Divadork is exploring the option. Haven't heard from others yet. I will be there for sure.
Why would you go to the Springs? The only time I was there it was boring as ****.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

I know. She's mentioned it. I'm interested, but depends on a lot of things. After tallying the cost of this past weekend, I shouldn't have too many more of those types of weekends. And I guarantee March will be that weekend. Granted, the tatt upped that cost a ton, but still....that just evened out the savings (more of less) of the hotel room.
Well, if you keep logging all this OT, money shouldn't be an issue. :p

I figure I spent just under $400 in Denver (largely thanks to an unexpected clothing expense). Add in the hotel, gas, and wedding gift, and the total cost was well north of $1000. Then again, I *was* out there for 8 days, and it's a small price to pay for the knowledge I now have.

About 1K for me, although the tatt was about 1/3 of that. Basically evened out the hotel savings.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Somebody might have a spare room next fall to eliminate the need for a hotel stay.

Obviously I have no idea what my situation will be like then.

Boy, it didn't take long at all to decide to stay away from the DI forum.

Whats going on over there? I am going to ignore the fact that D1 hockey is starting, with the exception of fantasy hockey, until there is some sign that my team won't be bending over for every team that sets foot in the arena.

When SCSU decided to switch conferences, I was lured into the sh*storm. I regretted it. I dare not ask what caused you to not follow it anymore.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

I'll trade you. I've got an AD who wants to boot kids out of a college student section for saying "ass" and "bitch". The guy also thinks WMU has an obscene student section. I would have been banned by the 2nd period Opening Night my freshman year. If he goes to Yost his head might very well vaporize upon entry into the arena.
Hell, how many cuss words is Michigan up to now for their C-YA Taunt now? I did like how they added the Shakeweight last year.

Yeah, but that wasn't your home arena. We're doing this to ourselves.

We almost got kicked out during the national anthem one night against Ohio State. I knew it was going to be one of those nights when my buddy shows up 10 minutes before puck drop, and when I asked him how he was, his answer was "VODKA!!!!" Sure enough, 38 seconds into the game, we were gone.
I can't help but think of Slapshot and the ****in' Song bit here.

After further research, I remain at TWITCHCON 4.

Canned music has wormed its way into MacInnes. It's possible this was due to a n00b in the booth and won't happen again. There is also post-goal canned music before the fight song. I suspect that may be a request of the team, in which case fine.

But if I'm wrong...

This is how things started at Mankato. It got much worse very quickly. Then again, the dolts at Mankato have absolutely zero notion of any sort of collegiate tradition.

First hockey game in the refurbished Alfond, can't wait to see what its like.

Until then screwing around in the shop

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Morning Lodge.

Wally, isn't it messy and potentially painful to do that in the shop? I prefer the bedroom for that. Not as many sharp objects to land on. :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

NFL SUNDAY! Oh, how I missed thee. Hardly watched football last Sunday, because some morons decided to get married. ;)

Hoping my Bills can keep it going. Monster Khaos being consumed here, heading to Old Chicago later for some pizza and wings, and an Oktoberfest brew or two.

The wife is working so a different kind of screwing around:D
Actually I'm just picking up, took the cover off the solar panel so my floor heat can start, getting to be that time of year if hockey is starting.

What time are you heading over? I might appear on that side of the metro area.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Heading out to lunch with the family to celebrate mom's birthday (which is tomorrow).

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Football early on, then preseason Red Wings hockey this evening. I might go get a side of new york strips in the middle of that.
