Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Private party. :p

Found two recipes that I'll probably combine. One for a cake-ier cookie and one with a marshmallow creme based center that you add peanut butter to. Seeing as we don't eat "fluff", looks like I'm making marshmallow creme from scratch too...
Now it's definitely a private party! :D

Edit: This recipe is my other thought, except I would do peanut butter layer, layer of chocolate ganache/fudge, peanut butter layer, layer of fudge, etc. We may need to celebrate more birthdays around here...
Yummy. If you have leftovers, can you send them to me?

Good evening, Lodge.

Unlikely due to refrigeration issues, but I'd gladly send over the recipes along with my personal modifications. :)
Unofficial facebook poll makes it seem like pie is winning out.

You can't go wrong with pie.

Speaking of cookies, I make four flavors of biscotti: pumpkin spice, lemon-anise, chocolate chip, and Parmesan/black pepper. I'd like to add a fifth, but not sure where to go? Chocolate-hazelnut? Cayenne-Chocolate? Bacon flavor?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

I am once again on yellow alert for a meltdown re: my alma mater. Tangentially hockey-related (not to the actual game, though.)

I need to do more fact-finding and confirm what's going on, but if true I will go kaboom in a very epic manner.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

After further research, I remain at TWITCHCON 4.

Canned music has wormed its way into MacInnes. It's possible this was due to a n00b in the booth and won't happen again. There is also post-goal canned music before the fight song. I suspect that may be a request of the team, in which case fine.

But if I'm wrong...

I need a conversion chart. If the Brenthoven Mankato Meltdown was rated a 10, what is TWITCHCON 4 equivalent to? This is important.

If he's following DEFCON rules, 1 would be all-out nuclear war, and 5 would be calm.

And I've caught a cold, apparently. ****.

So, it would be a BMM 3 or so?

And ha ha!

Finally, the new Allstate Mayhem ad is awesome. "I'm your blind spot. I have the easiest job in the world. I hide big things. (to driver) You're good. (thumbs up)" :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Yup. DEFCON 5 is peacetime, DEFCON 1 means the nukes are already on the way.

You'd be amazed how many movies get this backwards.

This is true, hence my asking.

So, you thinking about making the trek to the Springs March 3? Divadork is exploring the option. Haven't heard from others yet. I will be there for sure.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

War Games didn't get it backwards, and that's what matters most.

Brent: Gen's friend was sick the entire week leading up to the wedding, so I am going to reasonably guess that she's the one who infected me.

Well........heynow! :p

I still can't believe that Gen was amazed I knew what a lambic was. I truly was puzzled about that. It was kinda funny, actually.

I'll trade you. I've got an AD who wants to boot kids out of a college student section for saying "ass" and "bitch". The guy also thinks WMU has an obscene student section. I would have been banned by the 2nd period Opening Night my freshman year. If he goes to Yost his head might very well vaporize upon entry into the arena.

Until you've been threatened to be kicked out, before the game starts, for saying "sucks," shut your piehole. :p

Yes, this happened. At a UND game, where their fans routinely chant "F* the (insert team name)."

She only hugged me a couple times, nothing dirty. :p

Well, I imagine she didn't know much if anything about you before meeting you, and I'm guessing that type of knowledge isn't particularly common. She really wants you to head out there for the beer festival next fall.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Yeah, but that wasn't your home arena. We're doing this to ourselves.

We almost got kicked out during the national anthem one night against Ohio State. I knew it was going to be one of those nights when my buddy shows up 10 minutes before puck drop, and when I asked him how he was, his answer was "VODKA!!!!" Sure enough, 38 seconds into the game, we were gone.

Has Ferris' administration ever openly bribed one of its student orgs? Ours has!

I don't know. I think the Ferris administration prefers to threaten the students with disciplinary action instead.

I know. She's mentioned it. I'm interested, but depends on a lot of things. After tallying the cost of this past weekend, I shouldn't have too many more of those types of weekends. And I guarantee March will be that weekend. Granted, the tatt upped that cost a ton, but still....that just evened out the savings (more of less) of the hotel room.
