Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

He suddenly decided he's Jewish
No, but his church believes the Bible forbids eating pork.

Make him cook for himself then
Told him as much. And I've taken every opportunity to eat bacon in front of him since then. :D

Speaking of bacon, the next thing I'm going to do is wrap some trout or other whitefish with it and serve it up with garlic-roasted brussels sprouts.

As you should. And... what kind of church does he go to?

If Bob has excess pork does that mean more for us?

I am OK with this option. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

The sports radio station I used to listen to did something every year called MEATA. It stood for Men Eating All The Animals. The host was ****ed off at PETA so he came up with this. It was open to the public, with only 2 stipulations: Bring something, anything, meat-related for the grill, and bring a canned good for a charity food drive. They got sponsors to provided grills and cooks. I never went to one, but I'm told it drew a couple hundred people.

My uncle's dog is awesome. She was chewing on something for a few mins when we were outside. Before we went in, I told her to give it to me... what was it? Gum.

Went and got my yearly physical the other day. She wanted to do routine bloodwork... got a call from the nurse today that there was a prescription for Vitamin D @ the pharmacy for me. Normal levels are at least 60, lowest the nurse had ever seen was 13. Mine was an 8.

It's summer in the UP - you should get some sun. :p

I have a Catholic aunt who also will not eat pork. She claims it's Biblical, but I think it has way more to do with her "health nut" status.

For those (non-Jewish) faiths that won't eat pork, do they also refuse shellfish?

A-la-carte religion is dangerous.

Saw this post in the MN Offseason Thread, and just about lost it. Think about it reallllllly hard.

I'm hoping it's either just Sid and the voices he may be hearing or tDon playing it cool and not throwing Hill under the bus until about July 2nd.

Good morning Lodge. It's raining here. Hope it lets up. I'm going to Fenway tonight for NKOTBSB Take 2!!! At Fenway!!! I don't want it to get rained out. I don't think it will but it will affect my wardrobe for the evening.
